Free Blankets and Diapers/burp Cloths

I have a ton of baby blankets, burp cloths, etc. that I would like to give away. I had boy/girl twins 5 1/2 years ago and except for the blankets my daughter uses for her babies (dolls) I have a ton of other stuff just sitting in a drawer. My sister-in-law recommended donating to an animal shelter but I would prefer to go this route first to see if anyone is interested. I live in Bloomfield Hills and would prefer not having to ship as this can be expensive. Please let me know.

What can I do next?

My suggestion to you would be a woman's shelter. Or local church that offers a nursery. A daycare that has infants.

Just a few suggestions.

Have a great day...

Hi S.,
My MOPS group puts on a Mom 2 Mom Sale twice a year. We also contact local pregnancy crisis groups to donate gently used clothes and toys at the end of the sale. We usually have bags and bags of things at the end of each sale. Just a suggestion. Hope this helps! D.

Greetings S.,

If you haven't had any takers for the items yet, or for future reference, you can post items you would like to give away on Freecycle. Most of the time who ever you gift your items to will pick them up.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND!

Love, peace and joy,
S.

Hi there! I am a physician assisstant student and I have been volunteering at a free health clinic in Highland Park. They serve women and children who are primarily homeless (although the also see those who are underinsured, and those who are working without health insurance). They run completely on donations and can really use baby items! The organization is called SAY Detroit on Glendale in Highland Park. They have a website if you go online. You can ask for a receipt for your donation as well. They are very happy to receive items! They can also use adult clothes (including bras), shoes, blankets, any medical supplies (if you have anything like that). Hope you will consider this wonderful organization!
