We've been a couple of times. It's worked out really well for us for young toddlers and our location and budget. We can make it a fun outing and the kids don't get too miserable in the heat or bored of being dragged around all day. It's just long enough for them to have fun and see some animals. Helps to not have the crowds of the other places as well. Plus it's right next to a shaded park with a big playground and fun little train that is a dollar. So just depends on what you're looking for. We hope to make it to the Ft. Worth Zoo one of these days but with both our kids being under the age of 4, this has worked really well for us.

We went once, and although it is a lot smaller than theother zoos around here, if you're up that way, it is pretty fun. It took us about an hour to get through it, and if you go the last hour, the admission is less. This is about all our toddler could take anyway. I think if you go at a certain time in the morning, you can feed the giraffes. When we went, the giraffes were hanging out right next to the bridge you walk across- probably bc they usually get fed there. My kids were pretty impressed with how close they were. Have fun!

I went with my daughters kindergarten class a few wks ago and it is fabulous. Cheap, very clean and just long enough for the kids to make it thru before having any meltdown issues. There is a silly train that you can ride for $1. And it sits adjacent to a awesome park- very shady, lots of picnic tables to eat lunch and plenty of play area for the kids.

We went there in March when it was dollar day and it was a good thing because I would have been very disappointed to pay the normal $6 entrance fee. I knew it wasn't going to be the "Dallas" zoo but it was way under my expectations. We saw the entire zoo in less than 45 minutes. I guess it's ok for a quick outing but don't go expecting anything huge.
