blocked sinus. I bet he stuck something up his nose and is still there. Take him to the DR.
This question comes from my sister. Her 2yr old boy has a strong smell from his mouth. She says she brushes his teeth well and he doesn't complain about any pain etc. What can it be. The smell has been around for about a week.

Especially if his teeth are tight together, she should try flossing- there could be something stuck between his teeth causing the odor.
Otherwise, if he is exhibiting any signs of a cold or allergy, it could be the smell of a sinus infection. My grandmother could smell our breath when we were little and diagnose us better than any doctor. She said she could smell the flu from a mile away!
Hope this helps!

Is She sure it's coming form his mouth and not his nose. Call the ent right away. That happened to my daughter and like her I thought it was her teeth. I took her to her doctor and he had her on 4 anit. then I went to a ent and she had something up her nose. This went on for 2 months.
My kids always get foul breath right before they get sick, usually strep.

Brush His tongue as well to stop smell.
my son had the same problem that lasted about a week...and i'm not sure if this was really the solution, but i started giving him more water to drink and it went away. he's really vocal and loud nonstop, and i really think it was bc he had dry mouth from just going on and on and it was causing a stink. otherwise, could he have a cavity? cavities don't always hurt.
brush tongue
sinus infection
cold
abcess
reflux or idigestion issues
i worked for a ped dentist and these were the usual answers
I think it sounds like a cold. I know my kids breath reeks right before they get sick. Heck, I notice that in myself too. It's normal.
my son has acid reflux and when it is acting up his breathe smells almost sour. when my daughter is getting sick there is a sweeter odor. also try flossing they make little floss sticks to make it easier. goodluck
