Formula (Similac Enfagrow) Leaves a Film/Residue in Bottle Even After Cleaning

There's a mild residue (from the forumla?) that stays behind inside our baby bottles, even after washing and sanitizing. Its seems to be a powdery film left behind from the formula. When we used the standard Enfagrow- we never had this problem...now Enfagrow came out w/ a "new and improved" formula and we've been noticing this "Film/residue" since the change. Does anyone have any suggestions on how clean the bottles?

What can I do next?

Are you washing the bottles in the dishwasher on sanitize? Also important? Try rinsing the bottle out immediately with water and then use a half tsp baking soda and an ounce of white vinegar. This is safe, natural and strong. The same ingredients can unclog your sink. Afterwards wash and rinse the bottle as you normally would. Again, there is nothing in this that could harm baby.

We had the problem when my daughter was on soy formula. I started using the Dawn soap with bleach. It is clear. I have stuck with it for the last 6 years now:) HTH!

I am having the same problem! It comes out if you hand wash with a brush, but does not come off in the dishwasher. I noticed this right away when I rinsed the bottles. It looks like they are coated with a white residue. I plan on returning it and switching formulas because I did not plan on hand washing everything!
