Formula Mixture

Just mix it up how you normally would and put it in the fridge. Only make enough for 24 hours.

If memory serves, there are two types of formula sold in the can. One type is straight formula. Just pour it into the bottle and serve. The other type is concentrate. I think it is a one to one ratio, where you mix the same amount of water and formula together. If it is the second type, there will be instructions on the can.

Chances are the cans you looked at in the store were formula that baby would just drink as is.

I bought a formula pitcher at Babies R Us and would mix a days worth at a time, they're ok for 24 hours in the fridge, and would just heat up when it was time for her bottle. Worked really well.

Each brand of formula will have different instructions. I believe most say that once the milk is mixed it is only good for a couple of hours before it starts to break down. I did use the concentrate and mix it with Nursery water and pour it in the bottles then keep them in the fridge but it was less than a days worth in the mix.

I would call the 1-800 number on the can and ask about the one you use.

We pre-make all of our DDs bottles every night and keep them in a mini fridge next to her crib for overnight feedings.
That way we just pop them on the warmer and we're good to go.
You can make and keep for 24hrs, refridgerated, I believe.

We had some friends who mixed in a pitcher and then put it in the fridge for 24 hours. It worked just fine. All you do is figure out your ratio...decide how many bottles you're making, put that much water in and add scoops of formula accordingly. Personally, I would only do this if your child doesn't mind drinking it cold b/c I think it's more work to mix it, chill it, and then warm it again, but if they're willing to drink it straght from the fridge, then it might be easier!

I used to pre-mix my daughters formula and pop it in the fridge. It had to be used within 48hrs of making it. And when she needed it, I would just get a bowl of super hot water, put the bottle in the water and wait for it to get luke warm, then give it to her.

I didn't use any special container. I just used a large mayonaise container(cleaned of course) with the screw on lid. Sometimes I even pre-made 6 or so bottles w/ the nipple and lid thing on them and put them in the fridge.

Do you mean making a days worth of formula at O. time? I used to do that once in awhile--or you can just make the bottles for the day at once. Not sure if I'm understanding your question right...sorry.
