Forming Friendships

Are there any Springfield, MO mothers here with teenage girls?
I'm a mother of 3 teenage girls, two still at home.
I'm currently unemployed and a full-time student.
I would like to try to form friendships to help with the depression that comes from being at home and feelings of isolation.
Moreover, I would also like some local friendships that can help me brainstorm in order to help raise my self-confidence and eventually lead to full-time employment.
Is there anyone out there that feels the same way as me?

What can I do next?

I live in Ozark, Missouri and would love to get to know you. How old are your daughters. I have eight kids and could use the advice of a mother that has already let kiddos go. I also have a network of mothers that I work with that have older kiddos and would love for you to join us. Start as part time that could lead to full time very quickly. Think it over and send me your info and I will meet you whenever and wherever is convenient for you.

hi A., my name is carrie and my in-laws live in Springfield. I love that town! I personally know that there is a great church there out towards Republic named Brookline Church of Christ. There are some wonderful people there and they just hired our good friend as the teen youth minister.

Hi, A.. I'm J. and I live in Willard. I have a three daughters - 13, 9 and 1. And I've experienced going to school full time, working full time, running a household, being a parent and wife ... it's really hard work! You're a strong, strong woman.

Have you considered volunteering? I know that sounds insane with your already hectic schedule, but consider it. I love networking and making new friends. I've found that through the volunteer work I do, I meet some REALLY amazing people with whom I've formed lasting friendships AND I'm helping out some great causes. ;) If you need some ideas for organizations, let me know.

It's really easy to feel lonely when you're trying to do everything for everyone else and rarely take time for yourself. I encourage you to get out there and network and this was a GREAT place to start! Also ... get a massage! An "A. DAY" is in order.

I'd love to help you out in any way I can. Please feel free to email me anytime if I can help!

Smiles-
J.
