For You Fit Woman, What Size Are Your Thighs?

I feel that I am a healthy, thin person. I am 5'3 and weigh 110 pounds. I am pretty happy with my body, work on my abs etc. But lately I've noticed that my thighs look kinda flabby! LOL I've never worried about my legs. But maybe I need to start working on them? I looked up exercises to do and I started that today but I also measured them to see what size they are. I'm not going to put the size on here yet (I'll put it in the "what happened" section later) because if they are smaller than the average person on here I don't want to be put down for wanting to tone my body. So I'm just wondering what size most fit woman's thighs are? I know that if you are an active person who is into fitness and works on having a fit body you probably know your measurments. And for those of you who do not care about fitness please don't put down those of us who do! I'm not looking to lose weight, I just want to tone up this flab! I mean can my legs be thin and still look flabby? I wouldn't mind if I added an inch on them as long as it was because of muscle. Thanks Ladies.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you to the ladies who actually answered my question and gave me good insight. Like how you can be thin but still not in shape. That is how I feel that I am. Thin but no muscle tone. That is why I have started working out. To tone up. I measured my thighs and my right is 19 1/2 while my left is 20. Haha. But that seems pretty normal from what I've read so it sounds like I do just need to tone and not lose any more weight. And thanks for the reminder of spinning! I used to do that a lot after baby #2 but haven't done it at all after baby #3.

There are some VERY fit in shape women, who have big muscular thighs. It also depends on what sport/activity they do. And they still may jiggle a bit in the legs.
ie: gymnasts v.s. a ballerina.
Track runner v.s. a speed skater
Tennis player v.s. a swimmer.

Thinness does not equal fitness, and I think fitness is more important than size, but I'll go along with this. I'm 5'4" and weigh about 125. I trail run regularly and train in Karate (lots of kicks). I've never before measured my thighs, but did just now. My thighs measure 20" and do not jiggle at all, I have very defined thigh and calf muscles.

Ya know I never measured but when I was fit, I am a little flabby at the moment, I was 5'8 140 and wore a size 4. Not sure if that helps but it is all I have.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it. Everyone is shaped differently. Sometimes working a specific part makes things worse.

How does it help you to know what mine are when we could look nothing alike?

There are so many variables here and no one carries their weight the same as someone else. Look at you and the way you look / feel in your clothes. You can use a body fat caliper, but I would think you can trust your own eyes.

Ummm....

Now...post menopause, I am happy to give you my CUP size...lol

A VERY generous 'C'...after YEARS of being an 'A'...

Sad (or happy??) to say my thighs perhaps balance my new found bust...

Otherwise I might tip over...

yes??

Best Luck!

Even when I was a size 4 my mom's thighs (who is a size 20) where slightly smaller then mine. Because I carry most of my weight in my thighs. I also have a large amount of excess skin on my thighs from loosing 150 pds.

17-1/2 inches. I'm fairly muscular though, and I think my thighs are probably bigger than a lot of my taller and skinnier friends :-)

I know my height ( 6'0'') and weight ( 185). I stop at measuring anything else on my body. That's obsessive.

I know for a fact that when you have children, everything sags on you. Including thighs. Also, when you lose a considerable amount of weight, you will have extra skin flab.
