Don't want to dress them to much, they might melt!
joke:
two snowmen were standing on a hill, one says to the other, I don't know about you but I smell carrots.

I just read the intense fetal cell vaccine question so I am going to ask something light. My oldest daughter and I made our first snowman of the season. Classic carrot nose, radish eyes, stick arms. Which brings me to my question: Do you dress your snowmen, if you do indeed build them, or let him suffer in the cold?

I believe half the fun is in decorating the snowman with what you can find either laying in the house or outside!! The kids like building, but they also enjoy being able to dress and redress their snowmen!!!
I was never into dressing snowmen.
Eventually you have to pick it all up when they melt.
Snowmen don't suffer from the cold - they thrive in it!
If anything, some sun glasses and an umbrella to keep the sun off them might help them last a little longer.
We hardly ever get snow in Texas, but last year we got a TON on Chrismas. We made a huge snowman. He had a hat and scarf, but other than that, we made him suffer the weather. ;)
I prefer a warm scarf for our snowman. We are in TX too, so last year was our snowman year, only comes every 5 years or so!
Sometimes I will put an old scarf around the neck, we use the same one every year. Put I keep an eye on it so it does not become litter.
We always put veggies on our snowman to decorate it, usually the ones that are older and almost ready to be thrown out. The birds and other animals love to eat them which we love to watch.
Sticks are also used if we can find them for arms.
When we do get snow in houston, which is rare, i build a little tiny snowman, we use bolts, and pushpins and barbie and ken clothes, a matchstick carrot!, it never lasts long, the next day is likely to be back in the 80s.
My daughter and I put a pink scarf around the neck and matching pink mittens on the stick arms. We built a snowGIRL!
