Its almost fixing school lunches time for my soon to be K4 little one and I need a recommendation on a good thermos that won't leak.

Everyone has mentioned the same one. I have seen them at Walmart, Target, and even Pottery Barn Kids. They are all the same price of $16. I just bought one for my pre-schooler and MDO lunches. I am tired of always sending sandwiches, so I was thinking I could do some left overs or mac and cheese/hot dogs. You could even send potatoe salad or chicken salad, as they are suppose to keep things cold too. I hope it works.
We primarily use thermos' for hot food (versus drinks, etc.). We found that the cheaper "character" thermos' didn't really keep things hot (or even really warm).
I purchased the Thermos brand "food jar" (like a thermos, only shorter and no cup for the lid) at WalMart for about $12 a few years ago, and it's still holding up strong. It's stainless steel inside and out, with a black lid and base. It's exactly like this (http://shopthermos.com/detail/TMS+23228KP6) only there's no panda pattern - just stainless steel. My 5th grader says the food is still hot when she opens it up at lunchtime.
The nice wide mouth also makes for easy cleaning.
Good luck!

I saw some at Walmart in their back to school section.
