According to the American Academy of Pediatric's current guidelines you can feed him ANYTHING.
There are 2 precautions:
1. Don't feed anything that can be considered a choking hazard (e.g. raisins, steak, etc)
2. Anything that's a known family food allergen should be introduced with caution.
Otherwise, the only real direction is to introduce new foods every 2-3 days so you can monitor and react to food allergies.
At that age, our kids loved yogurt (we did full calorie, full fat yogurt and never purchased Yo!Babay), white american cheese from the deli, very thinkly sliced deli meats (ham/turkey), pasta cooked very well, ground beef, cooked frozed mixed vegetables, fruit (sliced apples with skin off, pears, bananas, blueberries, grapes, canteloupe, watermelon).
