Not sure what age group you have... But, if appropriate, you can boil some pasta, and they can decorate their own pasta, by putting on their own sauce. You can offer alfredo, cheese, marinara or blush (half marinara half alfredo) and you can have toppings, like shaved mozzarella, parmigiana, salad type ham pieces (goes great with mac and cheese), salad pieces of chicken breast for the alfredo mix, miniature meatballs (super quick and easy to make in the oven - just italian sausage and ground beef 50/50) or vegetables, etc. You can really get creative and can have a ton of options or just a few, which will create a very good number of possible combinations. Have fun! Good luck!

Is this a kids bday party? Never had lasagna & salad at a party.. I would do the normal hot dogs, hamburgers even maybe pizza(you can make your own to be healthy if that's what your worried about), chicken legs...fruit salads, veggie trays..

See if any close friends or family members have a costco card. Since it's all in bulk it will be waaay cheaper. You can even do pizza and a salad. Their pizza's are huge and already made and actually really good. Hope you have a wonderful party :)

When we want to do easy for a party.. & cheap :) we get the 6' sub from Walmart.. it's like $25.00.. and so easy with cleaning up.. they provide the mayo, mustard and all the toppings.. it's great!!
