Just leave out the salt (or use very, very sparingly) and you are good.

I did this with my older son and now with my almost 2 year old boy too. They don't like the sweet oatmeal with sugar and milk.. so I make the oatmeal and wheatgerm into an Asian porridge style breakfast. I throw in steam broccoli - mashed up and grilled or canned salmon and tuna. Pepper and salt optional but I usually put a pinch of each in. Very very healthy.. You can put a whole egg in if you cook your oatmeal on the stove. It thickens up the porridge and you can also add ground pork or chicken from the beginning or any fish you prefer in the end. Flavors the porridge wonderfully. You might even like it..

Eggs and oats (whole oats) are great for your little one! There is no need to add salt or sugar to a baby or toddler's food. The less processed the oats are the better (instant oatmeal usually has sugar and other unnecessary stuff added and some of the good stuff gets processed out).
