Do not try both eggs & honey at the same time, start one thing at a time & when you feel that he is doing good with it ,try another.

I gave my daughters eggs before a year and they were fine. Unless you regularly use honey, why rush it? He just turned one today (happy birthday!), but that doesn't mean he can or should automatically have all the first year 'forbidden' foods right away. Just like when you introduced new foods when he was younger, take it slow :)

As for you budding nudist, what about letting him pick out some 'big boy' jammies? He may be more likely to keep them on.

Hi H.,
Okay, you are probably going to laugh, but for keeping the diaper on, try duct taping around the waist (on the diaper of course). Try breaking out of that sucker!!! LOL

Does he wake up in the morning dry? If so, don't even put him in diapers at night. He may be taking off his clothes to get that diaper off, and he may not need it (my daughter never had a night time accident). Another thought... maybe your house/his room is too warm for him? My daughter gets really warm easily and even though her room is the coldest in the house, she still only sleeps with a very light blanket... good luck :-)

duct tape!!
I also second Leasley with the no rushing. Just because she's 12 months old doesn't mean her tummy can handle things just yet. I would take things slow. I did however feed my sons eggs at 8 month because I was told egg whites were fine, but I got lazy and fed him all of it. He loves eggs and sometimes thats all he eats.

Don't test eggs and honey yet.
Maybe just eggs.
It might be easier on you if you postpone trying new foods w/baby
until you've got older child more comfortable with nighttime potty issues.

HI H.,
I never knew I wasn't supposed to give my children eggs before a year?! I somewhat knew the honey thing- which has always confused me! What makes a difference with the 1 year mark? I guess I am safe, because I cautiously introduced eggs to my boys- as I was allergic to them if they werent scrambled (so I'm assuming they needed to be cooked well). And the honey is a challenge since I use it to sweeten, but I switch to Grade B- real maple syrup until the boys are older. My 2.5 yr old- I can usually not even keep clothes on him during the day. I have tried the one piece outfits, but he can now work buttons and zippers, so that doesn't work. The pull-ups are a little harder for him to get up and down so I put him in those. If the house is warm enough, why not let him sleep in the nude? You could put a hospital pad on his bed just in case he has an accident.
