What are your opinions, advice or experiences giving your children a flu vaccine? Is it safe or did they get sick from it? My daughter will be 3 yrs. old and our pediatrician recommends it.
Has anyone tried the new Swine flu vaccine? It's pretty new and not sure if there is enough info out there yet to know all the facts. Thank you.

What can I do next?

couldn't pay me enough money to inject my body or anyone I cared about with any vaccines. www.thinktwice.com www.909shot.com are good places to start doing some research

Definitely getting the standard flu vaccine. Not getting the swine flu vaccine - they are STILL doing clinical trials on the swine flu vaccine - so therefore it is not worth the risk for me.

Will certainly make your little girl sick, so ask the ped what the solution that suspends the vaccine..is it Mercury? That's so toxic.
Keep doing research, though; and allow yourself to relax, you have a new baby coming soon. (Best wishes!) You have time to make a wise decision.
Blessings, S.

Not getting either.. My pediatrician does NOT recommend children getting the swine flu shot.. it's too new, it came out to quick, and they don't know enough about it yet...
My son had the flu shot last year (when he was 2) and he got really sick from it.. So I chose not to give it to him again.. I do have many friends that give there children the flu shot and are fine..

I personally would not vaccinate for the swine flu, (and truth be told, would avoid ALL of them). It is practically impossible to find an amenable pediatrician, however,in Palm Beach county. Vaccinations have been linked by some doctors to autism due to the mercury content. (which is BTW, in most vaccines, and at concentrations greater than the EPA permissable standards for ADULTS!) check www.know-vaccines.org for a Florida -based site.

We will not be getting either flu vaccine here at our house.

Good luck with your decision.

A wealth of information- NVIC.org. Barbara Joel Fisher presents information in video form on the home page of the website. Personally, I dont feel it is safe to give my child anything that hasnt been on the market for an extensive period of time. I need a history of safety data to feel safe.
Building your childs immune system is a great way to fight off the flu this season.
Good Luck :)
