There's really nothing to call the pedi about if she has cleared up. Usually, the reaction is within 24 hours, but can and does delay depending on the immune system of the person getting the vaccine. Textbook, says the reaction usually is within 24 hrs, but that is not necessarily reality. All the clinic will tell you is that it is probably the vaccine. And now you know that your little one may have a delayed reaction in the future. Totally nothing to worry about. I have had my injection, and my arm was more sore 3 days later and had aches and a headache more on the 3rd day than in the first 24 hrs also. Totally normal.
I am not a pedi nurse, but have been an RN for 17 years.
Good luck,
Larua
