Is flouridated water good for mixing into the baby's powdered formula? If not, why? or what is the better choice?

I would have to agree to not using floride. There have been a few private studies which have determined possible links with early floride use and Neurological problems, bone cancer, thyroid issues and many other possible ailments. Anyone will tell you floride is certainly not needed in infants, and if you do decide to give it, after 12mo of age would be better. I know it's just an opinion, but in my family floridated water is a no-no.
I used the nursery water to make bottles because it did contain flouride. My daughters Pediatrician actually told me to use it cause it helps with the health of their teeth and gums. If your not sure then do some research..but WIC programs also recommend using flourinated water..so there must be somthing there. Good luck
I personally don't like the idea of floride in my water. it is a toxic heavy metal after all. I don't cook with tap water and I certainly don't drink it. When I was giving my son formula I was using bottled water. Unless you live near a stream and bottle your own water there is really no great answer, but I think the bottled water is the lesser of the two evils.
