Hi mamas!

We're planning a vacation to Disney in early March and I was wondering what you need/ what the process is for obtaining the FL resident discount on park passes? My mother rents a condo down there all winter (in Ft. Meyers) ... could she qualify if the tickets were mailed to a FL address?? What do you need to provide 'them' (not sure who to even contact!!) with?? Thank you for your help!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you Mamas, such a quick response was so great!! It will be full price tickets for us as we can't meet any of the FL residency requirements for cheaper tickets. Thank you!

Krista P. is correct. I don't believe you could even just have someone with a FL ID just buy the tickets because I'm pretty sure you have to show ID at the gate. Do you have AAA? You might be able to get a discount if you boght tickets through them.

You will need a valid FL driver's license along with the tickets to access the FL resident discount.

Your mother would not be considered a FL resident unless she has a FL license and lives there for at least 6 months out of the year. At one time they required you to have your car registered there to be considered a "resident".

The park tickets, or swipe cards are connected to you personally by electronic finger print scan at the park gates (except children ages 3-9). I don't think you can get resident tickets, sorry.

You need to have "proof of Florida residency" for each ticket purchased and redeemed for anyone over 18. So to use, not just buy, you have to be able to prove you live in Florida.
