FL Beaches @ Tgiving--how Crowded, How Warm?

I'm thinking of running off to FL to snorkel during Tgiving, since my kids will be gone. I've never been there in the winter; how warm is the water, compared to summer, and how crowded would it be over Tgiving? I'm thinking fly into Miami and drive to a good snorkeling spot in the keys. Suggestions? Or maybe west FL (never been there)?

What can I do next?

I'm jealous! I was born and raised is Ft. Lauderdale. Generally the retirees that winter in Florida come down around Thanksgiving and stay until Easter. If you plan on staying in the Miami area it shouldn't be too crowded as long as you stick to "younger" areas like South Beach, Coconut Grove, etc. The weather will probably be in the low 80's to upper 70's. HTH.

Enjoy!!

I saw that the high temps in Miami forcasted right now are only in mid 70's. That is a little chilly for me.

However, Miami is a GREAT fun place to visit. I love South Beach.

I'm not sure what your temperature tolerance is, but the temp for T-Day for Key West is supposed to be 65 degrees and 71 degrees in Key Largo. I don't think I would get in the water, but I'm a wuss... brrrrrrrr! Hope you get to do what you want!

Happy holidays!
