I renewed my comtiment to fitness this week. In an effort to hold myself accountable, I am reporting my progress to all of you. I haven't had any cokes at all and only had 1 beer while watching last nights Rangers game. I've seriously increased my water intake and cut my portions down drastically. The real challenge this week was all the food in the office. The boss bought sausage kolaches, I passed. He bought lunch yesterday and I traded my usual philly cheesesteak and cheesy potato soup for a mushroom ciabatta and chicken tortilla soup and passed on the chips and salsa. So far this week, I have lost 4 pounds and my jeans feel a little looser! Overall, I have to say, it wasn't difficult. I'm happy to report that it was a good start! My next step is to increase my excercise. How about all of you? How did your fitness quest go this week? Any victories or defeats you want to share? Any ideas or tips you came across that you can share?

What can I do next?

Hi T.,
I too, started a change of lifestyle a week ago by eating healthier and less, and exercising more. I've been writing down everything I eat, which really helps! I've discovered Progresso Light soups, which fills me up and is only 120 calories (gets those veggies in me too) The hardest part about my change is keeping up with exercise (could use an exercise buddy). So far, I've lost 3 pounds. I'll look forward to hearing how you do! Thanks for sharing!

That is awesome T.!!!!!

If you are interested myfitnesspal.com is a free site that you can log foods and count calories, sodium, fiber, etc. It really helped me to lose 75 pounds before I got pregnant with my first.

I really need to get back into it again though, I have fallen off the wagon. It would be great maybe to start a challenge thread for mama's and how they did each week.

Good luck and keep up the good work.

Good for you, T.. That game almost made me want a beer!
I would suggest you try green smoothies. Not only are they a great way to lose weight, they taste great and will improve your health.
