Congratulations! I think it's normal too, but I would also ask your pediatrician to get the professional opinion and put your mind at ease. Enjoy your little one

Always ask your pediatrician since he/she has experience with hundreds of babies.

My daughter started doing that too around that age - scared me to death! I spent one night laying in bed with just watching her and checking her nail beds/lips with a flash light to make sure she wasn't turning blue.

Turned out it was relfux. She was spitting up a little and choking on it. I started having her sleep in a bouncy seat that was at an incline and she stopped having those non-breathing moments and started sleeping way better.

Our bouncy seat had a similar incline to the medical sleep wedges some babies use. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E4UYLQ?ie=UTF8&t...

Check with your doctor first just to make sure everything is okay first and I don't suggest using a car seat because that tends to make them scrunch up and can be dangerous.

I wouldn't be extremely concerned, but you should definitely mention it at your next well visit with the pediatrician.
