First Time Mom to Be Seeking Recommended Pediatrician

I'm looking for a caring, and sensitive to my needs pediatrician for my daughter who is soon to be born. I prefer a doctor who believes in some sort of natural medicine. I know they are hard to find, but I don't want to be pumping my baby full of chemicals, if I don't have to. I'm also tossed on the topic of immunizations. My family (in laws) are against them and so is my husband. I really am having a hard time deciding what to do. I don't have much time to decide, so anyone with valuable and understandable info on this topic would be greatly appreciated.

What can I do next?

Dr. Rajeev Agarwal. Desert Ridge Children's Center. You must interview him before you make your final decision. He is WONDERFUL!

Also, you don't have to immunize, at all, if you don't want to. It is your body and your health. You are allowed to opt out you just have to sign a waiver. (This may not apply to some private schools and daycares) Do some research there is info out there on pros and cons. Look at Sharon Tenpenny's DVD, 909-shot.com and check out the CDC website.

I take my son to a "normal" pediatrician- Dr. Nemevant at Pediatrics, but also take him to Dr. Kail, a naturopathic Dr. I usually run everything Dr. Nemevant tells me to do my Dr. Kail before I do it :). My son had reflux and Dr. Kail was able to cure him naturally! He's really great! I also took my son to Dr. Kirk VanMetre, a gonstead chiropractor, who also helped with the refulx.

Good Morning. We use the Northwest Children's Clinic (Dr Bingham) and she has been great, my daughter loves going to her. On the topic of immunizations. I waited in the Hepititus series, since there in little to no chance of her getting it. However, I did go with the rest of the immunizations. I wanted her to be protected against all the illness that we could (since both sides of our family has has some that could have been prevented) Are they against them period or just at birth? Why are they against them? Without their input, what are your thoughts? If/When your child goes to daycare/preschool/school, he/she will have to them, just as food for thought.

Actually they never have to have immunizations, there is a waiver form you can fill out. My ped only gives meds if it is necessary, and I've opted not to give some vaccines, and it has never been a problem. It is Dr. Alexander at Camelback Pediatrics, 44th Street and Camelback.
