molars are not fun for the kids when they come in as you can guess..they are probably hurting him. If you are comfortable you could give him some tylenol to help with the pain but you probably already know that!

Because of his age he doesn't understand or know how to let you know he is uncomfortable and the "bad" behavior could be his way of trying to get it out...or it could just be typical 2 year old behavior of just learning new boundries etc.

sometimes when kids can not talk they throw things or hit you. they get fustrated.my son goes through that. it is called the terrible two's. make sure to give him time outs at home if he does this. let him know in a firm voice this is not good,do not hit people.give him some baby tylenol and try hylands teething tablets. they are good and are natural. try them at home first. if it works out see if the day care will give some to him. i think it is two different things going on. molars coming in and him not being able to communicate what he wants. like the pediatrician told us the terrible two;s start at 18 months and goes on for about 2.5 years after that. remember not to hit him back because it showing him that hitting is okay to do when we get angry.

Have you tried Hyland's teething tablets? They might help out with his pain from teething.

Dear J.,
Throwing things and hitting out of the blue, sound like behavioral issues to me. It could have something to do with separation anxiety and missing his parents. He can't express it with words, so he gets your attention any way he can. You'll know for sure once you settle the molars question.
Good luck,
N
