Katrina Walsh is excellent - she's in Plano, off of Midway Road and Parker; she's affiliated with Presby Plano. ###-###-####
I found out today after taking a home pregnancy test that I am pregnant! I so excited, still in a bit of shock and nervous all at the same time. So I wanted help from you mamas for a good referral for a great doctor. I live in The Colony, but I am willing to go to Frisco, Plano, McKinney, Lewisville, Carrollton, Flower Mound, Allen and Coppell. Any farther they have to be the best doctor in the world!! Any advice for a newly pregnant mama is also is welcomed!! Thanks gals!
Update: Alright ladies thanks for all the great recommendations. After talking with my hubby we are dead set on Baylor Carrollton being where I deliver. So if I could get some other drs that deliver there that would be awesome. Thanks for all your help!!

Dr. Kyle Mathews...Plano
He has delivered my 2 babies and I love him. He doesn't say much, but I like that because he doesn't worry you about anything.
Good luck and enjoy every moment of it.
Congratulations! I love, love Dr. Rudy Tovar. If you don't mind seeing a male Dr. I think he's great! He's very soft spoken and calming and he's and older gentleman that's practiced for years in the area but very "up" on new practices/procedures etc. He has an office in Lewisville and Flowermound and his support team and office workers are all very nice and accommodating as well. Good luck!!

I second Dr. Leslie Welborne! She is fantastic!
I am currently pregnant with my first, and I go to Dr. Berry Fleming. His office is located next to Plano Presby, but he also delivers at Baylor Frisco. He is wonderful! He'll take as much time to listen to you and answer your questions and concerns as you need. The great thing about him is that he does actually listen. He's also very good at making you feel comfortable. I feel like his methods are in between a midwife and doctor, although he is a doctor. He has made it known that any wishes I have for the birth (natural, etc.) will be honored as long as it doesn't put baby or me in any danger. That is something that was very important to me as well. I have been to a lot of gynecologists and doctors in general. He is definitely my second favorite. (My first is a chiropractor haha). Here is his website:

Good Luck
M.,
Bless your heart! Congratulations!! What a lovely time for you! I hope you are feeling well.
Forget the Doctors. Doctors are great for when you are sick, when you need surgery, not so great when you are simply giving birth. I guarantee if you go to a Doctor it will turn into a surgery!
What you want is a Midwife! They are super skilled and treat you like a person with a brain and your own ideas and preferences. In fact, I highly recommend the midwives at Allen Birthing Center www.allenbirthingcenter.com
They treat you like a Queen and they know how to catch your baby without invasion or danger. They can do almost anything a doctor can do as well--drugs if you need them, tests, everything. Just no C-sections--but if you need one, they almost always know ahead of time and refer you to a doctor, and if it's an emergency, they have plenty of time to get you to the hospital.
But that is so super rare, it's hardly worth mentioning. They really really know what they are doing and what baby is doing! :) They have tips and tricks and skills and, just visit once and you'll see what I mean! The birth center is beautiful and peaceful and full of safe birth memory, and it's surrounded by a beautiful garden of flowers and herbs and the house is just away from the traffic that it's so quiet and restful.
Schedule a visit and you'll never think about going to a doctor again for a natural life process or even for any of your women's care. I still go to them for anything. They are just great.
Good luck! and again, Congratulations!!

P.S. When you are about 7-8 months along, call me and I'll paint your belly! :D

Congrats! What an exciting time. I see Dr. Andrea Galusha at Lewisville OB/GYN. Here is their website: http://www.lewisvilleobgyn.com/
They have an office in Medical Center of Lewisville and an office in Flower Mound. You'll deliver at Medical Center Lewisville. I've also seen Dr. Vicki Allen there as well. They both answered all of our questions and I feel I was well cared for. This is a tough decision, but just do what you feel is best for you and your baby. Best of luck to you on your search and congrats again!
Dr. Riegel located next to Presby Plano. He is the best!! He delivered all 3 of mine at Presby Plano (love the hospital too).

Congratulations & Good Luck!

My doctor is not in your area, but I had to send my Congratualtions! Wonderful!!!
I second Andrea Galusha or Vicki Allen. Both have offices in Lewisville Med Center and in Flower Mound. Dr. Galusha is my doctor, but Dr. Allen delivered my son two years ago when he decided to make his appearance at 2 in the morning! Also, Lewisville Medical Center is where I have delivered both my children and I highly recommend it. the nurses are incredible and when my second son had to stay in the NICU for several days, he was so lovingly cared for by all who worked in that area of the hospital. Congrats and good luck with your pregnancy!
I recommend Dr. Jon Ricks to everyone! He delivered our son and is absolutely fantastic!
I know you're looking for a doctor for yourself, but I just wanted to tell you about pediatrician William (Dr. Bill) Paruolo in The Colony.
Look him up when you're ready to sign on with a peditrician (usually around month 8). He's great in so many ways. My kids adore him, and my husband and I are so thankful to have found him. In fact, we raved about him so much that I have family and several friends who inquired about him and now use him and sing his praises!

Good luck to you!
Dr Katrina Walsh at Plano Presby is fantastic!! She has a great bedside manner and is so easy to talk to. She had delivered both of my kiddos and I have recommended her to several people. ###-###-####
I really loved Dr. Suzette Boyd. She is right next to Baylor Frisco (which is a wonderful place to deliver) in the professional buildings.
Also I love Dr. Stellman (Dr. Pete) in the Colony for a peditirican and he has privileges at Baylor Frisco so he can come see the baby after it's born.
Congrats and good luck!
Honestly, you will get better care from a good midwife than you ever will by a doctor. Doctors are busy and don't take time to do nutritional and exercise counseling. The midwifes at The Birthing Center on Swiss avenue give 45 minutes to an hour to each patient for every visit. They are more than just drop in and leave people. They actually care and take the time to make sure you know what to do. Few doctors tell you that if you don't get enough protein you could develop preeclampsia. Even to the best doctor in the world your appoint isn't top of his priority list, to a midwife you are the most important person during the appointment time.
Congrats! I loved my doctor in McKinney. His name is Cesar Reyes at Comprehensive ObGYN. He's in the McKinney Medical Center at 121 at 75. The number there is ###-###-####.
Congratulations!! This is such an exciting time for you!!!
I also recommend Dr Katrina Walsh at Presby in Plano ###-###-####. She's amazing! She has a wonderful bedside manner, explains everything fully and you're not just a number with her! I actually look forward to my yearly appts w/her as do my friends that also see her. And I've NEVER looked forward to "that" appt before. ;) She delivered both of my kids. I had 2 very difficult pregnancies - one was life threatening and I've learned to trust her "gut" feelings implicitly! This says a lot, since I have a very low opinion of most drs. She's one in a million! :)
Flower Mound Womens Health..... Dr Paroski, Lungren & Kim are ALL EXCELLENT!!!!
I love Kelli Watkins at Presby Plano (http://www.farrowandwatkins.com/). She's awesome, has a great bedside manner, and handled my extremely high-risk pregnancy. She also has minimal waiting time and will spend as much time as you need in each visit.
My best advice to you is that you should make some phone calls and see which office and doctor you feel comfortable with. Make a list of questions (hospital affiliation, will you be the one who delivers my baby, who can be in the room...whatever is important to YOU).
Congratulations! Enjoy this incredible time in your life!
Highly recommend Dr. Boyd. She is fabulous! She has delivery privileges at Plano Presby and Baylor Frisco. I delivered at Baylor Frisco and it was a wonderful experience. The hospital is so nice and all of the staff is exceptional. I cannot say enough great things about them!
I love, love, love Dr Mary Ann Franken. Her office is at Baylor Carrollton, and that's where she delivers. I had a horrible first delivery with one of the drs who has been recommended to you at a hospital in Plano, so when it came to baby #2, I looked for a different dr and different hospital. I found Dr Franken and couldn't be happier. Even though Trinity (now Byalor Carrollton) wasn't the prettiest hospital, I had such a great experience.
As an L&D nurse, I can whole-heartedly recommend Dr Franken from not only a personal level, but also a professional one as well. She is very thorough, kind, calm, and I have never felt like I was rushed or not a priority.
I prefer midwives, but if you are high risk, or do not desire a natural pregnancy, Dr. Michelle Pepperell at Frisco Obstetrics is recommended.
