My suggestion is get a realtor. When purchasing a home you are not paying for a realtor-the seller pays. I would not buy a home w/out one. Plus, they do all the work of finding what you are looking for!

Hi! I live in Tampa so I am not sure if what I have to share applies to Clearwater as well. We have several free publications that list homes for sale; for example one is called Harmon Homes. You can usually find them at the library or near the check out stand at the supermarket. Good luck!
I love looking at houses and the one website while it may not have every realtor represented is www.floridamoves.com, it does have a lot of photos and a lot of info on the houses. Another site is fl.living.net (no www). Good luck!
Hello L., Just driving around areas you like during the day and night you can get an idea what is going on and where the house is located etc. As of right now, it's a buyer's market so by saving a lot of money you don't need an agent and you can ask a seller for cash ($10,000)at the closing. However educate yourself about the proper steps; inspections, contract, closing, community restrictions etc. Pay attention and ask a lot about the neighbor's house. Are they owned or rented? - Very important! Happy Shopping!
