If you are suffering from it or know someone who has it I want to know what are the symptoms they have. Lately I have been feeling dizzy, tired. my back has been hurting me at lot. ALL i want to do is sleep, moody. Today I started feeling like a tingle sensation on my leg and when I cross my leg(put one on top of the other) my foot falls sleep fast. The tingle was also on my hand and shoulder. Any help would be great im going to the doc tomorrow. I don't know what is wrong I had a EKG yesterday at the hospital it was fine, MRI fine so I don't know what could be. I just don't know who to see anymore. I get this weird confused feelings at times and kind of dizzy not sure how to explain it. I have seen my regular doc, a neuro, eye doc and now a rheumatologist. Im so drained and tired of it all

What can I do next?

I wonder if you could have a slipped disc that could be causing the tingling issues in your feet and hands? I work with a gal who has been diagnosed with fibromyalgia...she says it is like all of her nerves are on steroids...everything hurts....she also sleeps a lot on her days off..in fact for a long time she had a hard time getting up and getting to work on time.
She also complains a lot of headaches, and i have noticed that she is moodier, even though SHE hasn't mentioned it....lol.
There are so many different ways that fibromyalgia can manifest itself and it isn't something that they diagnose you with right away. At first they thought she had rheumatoid arthritis, and had to eliminate that, then there were several other things she went through before they finally arrived at the fibromyalgia diagnosis. It seems like if there is nothing else they can pinpoint...they decide on fibromyalgia!!! It seems to be the "catch all disease".
Good luck!!!

I have Fibromyalgia. My symptoms are joint pain,, dizzy, tingly hands, lots of pain in my legs, back, arms , fingers.heartburn and reflux, Different every day. Flare ups are horrible.I have IBS and memory loss. I am sensitive to cold and hot. My eye site has been effected, very blurry at times. I have had my vit D checked first and its fine. I do not have arthritis although it feels like someone has stabbed me in the back. Then the next day its in a different spot like my jaw. I have been tested for everything else. My Rheumatologist diagnosed me. My primary care doctor agreed. I have have all over pain and stiffness for a long time. It does not go away. I also very tired during the day. I do rest when needed. But I also walk everyday and do a couple activities to keep me moving. Its pain full but beneficial. I do not complain anymore I just try to keep positive and happy. You kind of get used to the pain except when a bad flare up comes my way. I wish you luck!

karin H. has no idea what she is talking about. Fibromyalgia is syndrome that is real. It effects many women.

Have no idea what Karen H is talking about. I'm currently seeing a Rhuematologist to figure out what's going on with me and she suspects Fibromyalgia but we are in the process of ruling out other things. I have very bad joint pain that almost seems to move around my body, terrible upper back, shoulder and neck pain that never goes away, unable to fall alseep or stay asleep, there for tired all the time, foggy feeling and terrible problems with my memory, IBS...I can relate. It might be worth seeing and endocrinologist though to rule out Thyroid problems or hormonal imbalances. Otherwise I would find another rhematologist who understands and specializes in Fibromyalgia. Don't give up. I know it's frustrating and you start to feel crazy because you don't have a "label" for what's going on. Have faith, stay positive and don't give up. ;)

I have fibromyalgia... there are many symptoms and related conditions..... The following are my symptoms....

interstitial cystitis, acid reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome, arthritis in my sternum, wide spread pain in my joints, (a complete inability to do anything of repetition as I will get water on my joints in a very short time), heel spurs, plantar fascitis, sleep deprivation (fall asleep fast but wake up many times per night), slow healing time, memory problems, low blood pressure (get dizzy easy and can't handle heat), problems with the cold too, (excessive itchiness when I am out in the cold long), fungal problems with my toes and hands that I've had for years and won't respond to creams or pills,

This is just some of it...I'll remember others later.

fibromyalgia, is a fancy way of saying, you dont want your wallet back, do you ?! all you have is a pinched nerve, not fibromyalgia. the sleepyness is your bodies way of saying, lay down , roll over and try to de pinch that nerve.if you go to the doctor with this compliant, all they are going to do is give you a muscle relaxer and probably an anti anxiety drug. do your wallet a favor, and find out what is putting extra pressure on your back, and then do something about it. tough love, i know. but better then going to the doctor and having them empty your wallet.

I have suffered from fibromyalgia for nearly as long as I can remember. I am kind of a rare case of having it very young. It something that does not just suddenly appear. With far more chronic widespread pain and severe sleep problems for a very long time. There can also be many other odd symptoms that can be different for other people(which is a very long and wierd list). Most of them in some way relate to your nerve endings and such.
There is so little known about it, and the symptoms vary so drastically it can be very very hard, frustrating and emotional to go through the long process of getting a diagnosis.
To me it does not sound like that is what you have because of the way you describe the onset of your problems, however I could be wrong. I would would talk to your Dr. if your problems are something that continues over more time and I hope you feel better.
If you are interested I can tell you in more detail some of the other problems I have had in a private message, I know how alone and misunderstood someone with this can feel.
