Old wives tale would mean that it is a girl b/c of the higher heart beat...
Everything is fine!
yep baby heartbeats are never steady things they beat all over the place. If its up above 150 then they are being active. If sleeping its lower. If its very low, there is something wrong. Too high as well. They do say, its not proven, but they say the higher the beating, the more likely its a girl.
That seemed to ring true for my. All my girls on average were 160 to 170 beaters. My son on average was 120 to 140 beater.
Sounds fine to me! As long as the doc isn't concerned, why would you be?
My girls always had high numbers too....I think its probably not too normal to be on the high end but yet not abnormal either.
I heard the range is 130-170, and my babies heartrates started out in the 150s and eventually dropped. Believe me if they thought there was a problem with the heartrate they would definitely say something.
