Hi Y'all, My husband and I are starting IVF this month and I'm just wondering if anyone has been to The Reproductive Group on McMullin Booth Rd and what thier experience has been or if you recommend other fertility offices. We are also debating transfering 1 egg instead of 2, based on my age they recomend 2, though there are no fetility issues with me. (My husband had a vasectomy reversal that was not succesful) Has anyone out there done just 1 egg and conceived? My husband is 51 and I'm 35 (almost 36) so we really don't want to have multiple births. We have talked with the Doctor and they will do just a single egg but we worry that the odds of conception will be low. Any insight on personal experience would be nice. Thank you

I too battled infertility for 5 yrs and went to RMG. I had Dr. Goodman and she was great! We now have twins. She recommended putting only one egg back to have a higher chance of it taking over 2. In the end, we chose 2 because we didn't think we could go through it all again and wanted to try both and they both took. I would not recommend Zbella for reasons that I have not heard one good thing about them from anyone. USF is suppose to be very good, my acupuncturist uses them. I do one on one support for women going through infertility so if you would ever like to talk email me at ____@____.com Good luck

Hi N.,

I'm an IVF veteran - 4 tries and 3 boys - one set of twins. I did my first 3 tries through a group in Seattle, and then my last here in Tampa. Each try we put in 2 eggs.

I cannot recommend Dr. Timothy Yeko at the Reproductive Medicine Group (http://floridafertility.com/). Also, I'm happy to be a resource for you as I know how stressful it can be. My email address is ____@____.com and I check it about once a week.

Good luck!

J.

Hi N., My name is J. and I'm 33 and I did go to RMG and LOVED the experience ! I do have TWINS so i obviously put in two!! My girlfriend who was a few years older than me and went thru it after me and she put in two and has one wonderful daughter. I know the doctors can give you all the statistics about success rates but in my opinion it's totally worth putting in two : ))) I'm biased though !! And i have always wanted twins so really you do have to just decide whats best for you and your hubby : ) Feel free to contact me if you would like to chat further. I live in Tarpon SPrings.

Good luck !

I went through fertility issues as well, although the problem was me and not my husband. I do know at least one person that had successful IVF with just a single egg! I have been to Florida Fertility Institute and my husband went to Reproductive Medicine Group and we were not happy with either place. Florida Fertility Institute seemed to drag out our treatments and made it more than clear that they were all about the $$, since everything is out of pocket. I did not go to Reproductive Medicine Group for my treatments but my husband was not to happy with the attitudes of the staff when he went for some testing there. I don't know about you, but, I need to feel comfortable and confident with my doctors, especially when dealing with such a delicate subject. After doing our research, we ended up at USF for our fertility treatments. Luckily I was able to get pregnant through the injections and did not have to go the th IVF stage, but, I had 100% confidence with the doctors at USF and am getting ready to go back to work on baby #2! If I can be of any more help, please let me know. Best of Luck!

I am not familiar with that group. I go to Florida Fertility Clinic. I have no experience with IVF, but I wanted to wish you the best of luck!

Hi N.! I used the Florida Fertility Institute on McMullen Booth (Zbella/Sanchez). I know infertility can be a sensitive subject, and if you are looking for sympathy and a shoulder to cry on - this is NOT the place. However, this IS the place to go if you really want to get pregnant. They have the best success rates in the area. What they may lack in besdide manner (I've sat in their parking lot in tears many times), they more than make up for in success rates. And I have a 14 month old little miracle to prove it. Baby dust to you! :-)

I went there and was diagnosed a PCOS patient. I started taking Metformin. It made me pretty sick. I was very stressed out on my job and actually stopped taking medicine and went back on the pill until I found a new job. As soon as I did and the stress went away, I conceived naturally without any drugs. The key for me was testing for ovulation for almost 30 days in a row. That's typical for a PCOS patient. I can't speak for the other treatments, but I found Dr. Sandra Goodman to be an excellent, caring, supportive physician and I would highly recommend her. Good luck.
