Feeling Off

First off I'm not pregnant. For the last couple of weeks I've been unusually hungry, (craving sugar) lazy, tired, and even a little depressed. I used to get this way in the winter when I lived in the North West, but now I"m in Southern CA. Any one else feel this way? I'm not sure how to kick it but I really want to.

What can I do next?

How much time are you spending outside in the sun? I know when the sun isn't out as much I get like this.

Try spending 30 minutes in the morning and again the afternoon outside in the sun walking or doing some sort of activity and see if that helps. (I walk the dogs twice a day now in order to stay on top of it.)

*hugs*

Could your period be coming up? Or are you on any birth control? A lot of them have side affects that could cause that! I was on the depo shot (Horrible) and it caused hunger a lot more, in turn i gained a little weight which made me feel more tired and depressed. Vicious circle : / Or maybe a change in your diet (other than sugar cravings) or taking a certain medication? Lots of things could do it! My advice would be to stay active, the worst thing with feeling down is to stay in the house all the time. Go outside, hang out with friends or family. Go to a movie alone and get some "me time!" Sometimes you got to give yourself a break from everything :) Also, dont know if you watch tv, but i try to turn it off and get some quiet time once in awhile..it helps! Good Luck and Keep Your Head Up!! /

I would schedule a visit to your primary doc. If it's been a while or never at all I would get a complete blood work up. See if your deficient in any areas or if you have a thyroid issue like one of the other Mommas suggested. Let them know that you've seen a pattern before and see what they have to say. There is such a thing called seasonal depression as well. Take care, hope you feel better soon!
