Please run to the doctor and take a full proof pregnancy test with the blood test and all. You don't want to wait with your conddition.
I feel positive that I'm pregnant but I took 2 in home pregnancy tests and they both came out negative.
With my first pregnancy, I didn't take a pregnancy test until I was a little over a month pregnant and I took an in home preg test and it barely showed a positive sign.
My period have been regular and it's 2 weeks late.
Should I get a blood test done or wait to take another pregnancy test? I want to get this done soon b/c I'm also diabetic and lately my blood sugar readings have been a bit high.
Thanks.
i had an urine test at the doctor's yesterday and it came back negative. so today i got a blood test to find out what's going on. will be hearing from the doctor soon.. i still haven't gotten my period and i'm hoping i am pregnant. but if not, this gives me some time to be better prepared for another babe and hubs and i could enjoy making one. =0) thanks everyone for your advice and concerns... ps i've been monitoring my blood sugar excellently and so there shouldn't be any complication if i am pregnant..

I would go see your doctor and have them do a test...even if it's their urine test, it's very accurate. I know a lot of ppl who test neg with the in home tests, but pos w/ a doctor test. The earlier you know, the sooner you can work to getting your blood sugars "normalized" so you don't have to worry about your diabetes or any possible complications.
Pregnancy and diabetes needs to be monitored closely for your sake and your babys....I'd vote for the blood test it's easy and gets you both off to a good start. Health and happiness to you. L.
Considering your history, I would call your OB/GYN and get a blood test!
Home pregnancy test are usually very accurate but if you are concerned there is no harm in seeing your doctor, especially if you are having other symptoms of pregnancy (nausea, breast tenderness, etc). If you are not pregnant the visit may be a good time to plan a pregnancy or if that is not desired, discuss contraception options.
