Feeding a 7 Month Old - Greenville,SC

I am drawing a blank on what to feed my 7 month old besides baby food. You would think with this being the 4th round for me, I would have a handle on it. lol But, somehow, I have hazed over that part of my memory bank after my husband told me the third will be my last. If I would have known then that he was going to change his mind in a few years, I might have remembered! ;)

Edit: I meant more of the finger food ideas. I already prepare my own babyfood using healthy foods at home. ;)

What can I do next?

Bake sweet potatoes in the oven at about 400 or 425. Poke holes in them, rinse them under water, then wrap in aluminum foil. Bake about 45 minutes or until done. Then, scoop the meat out and send it through a food processor mixed with a little breast milk or formula, or just feed him the "meat" right out of the potato. Super healthy!

some of my kids' favorites have been baked potatoes (seasoned and cut up b4 baking), pancakes, cantaloupe, rice puffs/cakes, just about any muffin. OK, now I'm drawing a blank; good luck

I only did baby food at 7 months. Nothing else. Unless maybe cheerios or something? As they get older, I start giving the more table foods from dinner. My 11 month old now refuses baby food (it's offensive to her...hehe), and so she eats almost a meal herself. Her favorite lately is meatloaf, which the iron is relaly good at her age.

Anyway, I don't know if that helps any! I just give baby food (if that! often mine are older than usual before I offer anything besides nursing).

I always go by the list I got from the pediatrician and it says just to do baby food until 9 months. So that's what I did. At 6 mos you can do the meats and the Stage 2 foods. At 8 mos Stage 3 foods. At 9 mos finger foods like soft banana, cooked vegetables, teething biscuits, soft crackers like Ritz, strips of soft cheese like American, Cheerios, Gerber Graduates, Puffs, and yogurt. At 10 mos I started really just cutting everything we ate up into tiny pieces. I would even peel grapes and cut them up tiny. The list stressed just not to do: honey, cow's milk, peanut butter, or eggs until a year old and to avoid choking hazards like: nuts, popcorn, hot dogs, raw veggies and gum.
