I bought my daughter one pan last summer for her first apartment: a Swiss Diamond fry pan. She loves it -- and it's held up to three really good -- but clueless in the kitchen -- new "cooks".
I'm in the market for a good quality non stick fry/saute pan. I had been using All Clad but they no longer make non-stick. Swiss Diamond is a brand I've heard about but have not read many reviews on this brand. I'm willing to pay for quality. Please share your suggestions.
TIA

Calphalon makes an awesome stainless non-stick pan! It is a great weight and is comparable to All Clad but I found the handle to be much more comfortable than All Clad.
I LOVE my Scanpans. I am slowly replacing all my Teflon with them. They're awesome, extremely durable, and dishwasher safe.
Last fall I bought DH a Regal Ware frying pan and he loves it.
I received 2 stockpots from Calphalon's made for Target line. LOVE these pans. :)
I love my scanpan. It isn't coated so nothing to scratch off!
I third the vote for Calphalon. Love their non-stick pans and use them every day for all kinds of things.
I don't have a name in mind but a good quality stainless steel pan. Walmart used to carry the Tramontia line. They are heavy and they cook evenly so you don't have to use a ton of heat to keep them going.
Good luck on your search.
