Help!!

What do you get your husbands for father's day?

He is not into golf or anything like that. When I ask him what he wants he says nothing, but I know he would like a gift from our girls on fathers day. I just have no idea what to get him. He likes to watch sports on TV but is not a particular sports fan or nut, he can take it or leave it.

I just have no idea what to get him anymore. I know he really wants a big screen TV but we cannot afford that right now. I am just so at a loss here.

What can I do next?

Does he need clothes? If not, how about a piece of jewelry? A plaque? Don't know how old the girls are, but they could do their hands or better yet, get a pic done of them and get him a nice framed copy - just for him that says DAD on it......with maybe a Dad T-Shirt......

You can always find something personalized as well.

Just start listening to things he says, my hubby always leaves some kind of hint, even if it's, wow, that would be nice, but way to much.....I'm not spending that!!!!

Good Luck.

My husband is the same way, but doesn't like to splurge on himself. I noticed that he wasn't enjoying his TV watching (sports) because of background noise between me and my daughter. For one father's day or birthday I got him wireless headset for better sound. He still uses it, 4 years later, this is something he wouldn't have gone put to buy. Also each year I make a small photo album of pictures of only he and our daughter, he really loves this one. He and my daughter browse it throughout the year and reminice of their times together, good luck

They say the way to a man's heart is through his stomach LOL. He might love a gift from Sublime Chocolate. They use no preservatives and they have some really unusual things like chocolate covered bacon. My husband's favorites are the curry flavored chocolates. There are 2 stores. One is in Allen on Main Street and the other is in Watters Creek

The best present that my husband got from my daughter was a t-shirt with the words "Best Dad Ever Hands Down" and I put her hands in fabric paint and then she put them on the shirt. I got it at KMart two years ago. She loves when he wears it 'cuz she always puts her hands on the shirt to show him how they have grown.
Also, last year she made a scrapbook for him with pictures of them that they both love to look at together. He was so emotional when he opened it, he got teary-eyed.
This year I ordered a puzzle made from a picture of them. I got it from Wal-Mart and it only cost $12.00. They also have some other great gifts you can make from pictures - a mug with their picture on it is always a cute idea, too.
Hope this helps!

What about a gifty from Shutterfly? I love making things on that site for my hubby and father-in-law. They are meaningful and very much appreciated.

Also, does he play golf? Maybe a round of golf? Or, what about a one hour massage at a nearby spa?

Don't know if you purchased anything yet but here are my thoughts... I have given my husband some gifts personalized with my girls photos - a deck of cards (we play lots of card games with our families - the real ones from Bicycle are best instead of snapfish), a travel mug, framed photos for his desk at work (and I had the kids all dressed up in Purdue gear when I took the pics) and he LOVES those.

This year, among a few other small things, he's getting a plug and play video game. We can't afford a big gaming system and he's always claimed that it would suck up too much of his time, but this has all sorts of old school games in it, it's not too expensive and it will be fun for him to do to unwind on his own - and eventually play with the girls :)

Good luck!

My husband is the same way. He always says he wants nothing. But I always want to get him something. I actually bought a small wood picture frame from Joann fabrics and had my daughter paint it. That way its personal and she made it! The homemade gifts are always the best anyways :)
