Hi J.,
I have purchased it, about a year ago. I think it will work, but I can't say for sure that it does work, becuase I never made it past "Day Three" (low will-power). The good thing is that I have a lifetime membership (as long as the website exsists) so when I do have the will-power to stick with it, I believe it will work.
The reason I believe it will work is because I did "my7daydiet.com" aka the "cabbage diet" which is a detox plan, (The beginning of the IPD (Idiot Proof Diet) starts out the same way (but IPD gives more variety/meal)) By day 4 of the 7day diet, I had lost 7lbs. Now this was likely water weight, but 7 pounds lost is better than 0lbs lost.
Anyway, the IPD gives you two options. (1) an 11-day diet generator, where you pick from a list of, I think 32 kinds of foods, like "tuna salad", fresh fruit, vegatables... then it plans out 4 "meals" per each 11 days. (2) tells you in what order to eat certain types of food, by tricking your metabolism, eating specific in-takes of carbs vs protien foods.
Not only do you have to have the will-power to eat specific foods and only those foods, but you have to plan ahead; meaning have enough money to stock your fridge/pantry to take your lunch and snacks to work, and always have food with you to prevent a splurge of hunger and defaulting to "non-approved foods". In addition to the eating plan, and to acheive maximum results, you have to drink a minumum of 8-8oz servings water (which we should do anyway) and walk everyday 30-45 minutes.
