So I bought these boots recently:

I love them! Problem is I don't have a bag that goes with it. What type and color of bag do you think these boots would go best with? I'm thinking brown or olive green bag? I'll mostly be wearing with dark jeans and sweaters...thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

LOL. I didn't even know it was outdated to match your bag to your shoes. Thanks ladies! :)

I wouldn't try matching a brown with another brown--if it's close but not exact, it will look like a "fail"! LOL
I'd go with another color--olive, muted (not loud metallic) gold, etc.

p.s. SUPER cute boots!

Whatever purse you have. People haven't matched their purses to their shoes since the 60's. Do you have a hat you would like to match it to as well? lol What a hassle moving everything into another purse just to match some boots. BTW, love the boots.

Cute boots. To be honest any color purse would look great (purple, orange, white, brown). No need to be matchy matchy.

I don't like to match, but I do like to coordinate. WInter/fall boots, I would carry a winter/fall purse. Fall colors and materials - not a bright floral or canvas. I also don't like to obviously calsh - I don't carry a black purse when wearing brown boots and vice versa. I like the purse to do more for the outfit, rather than match the shoes. The overall look ought to be cohesive.

Love the boots, by the way. Very sexy. You could dress these up by wearing tights and a sweater dress. A close fitting riding pant and crisp button down shirt would be beautiful.

Any color will go with it fine, well maybe except white or off-white (which is just not practical). Brown is a neutral and goes with every other color. It's considered an outdated fashion rule to exactly match a bag and shoes anyway.

I have boots that are very similar. Very cute. Check out this Dooney & Bourke red/brown purse. You may have to change the color on the link. http://www.dooney.com/OA_HTML/ibeCCtpSctDspRte.jsp?sectio.... I like the smaller size purse however. It is about $200.

In order to NOT get your post pulled for having a link - put the link the SWH.

I would go with the 9West Brown Leather purse. I gave mine to Rachel D - she can tell you about it (maybe!!)

I would do a brown purse with it. If you don't like 9West - there's this one...

it should complement the brown leather in my opinion.
