Yes I did just post a few days ago about a new OB/GYN and yes I did just post about a new peds office =) I have been looking into the suggestions I was given but I have come across Farmington Hills OB/GYN and was hoping to get some input.

Here are some of the drs. Labes, Baboff, Banooni, Eisenberg, Hakim, Ziff, Horowitz, and Greenstein.

If anyone has been to either of them or to that office in general I would LOVE some oppinions. I have been in the area for two years and am ready to have doctors that I love not just tolerate.

Thanks so much in advance!

What can I do next?

I had heard great things about this group and even worked in the same building as them so it made sense for me to sign up with them in 2005 when i was pregnant. I was 38 at the time and I saw Dr. Hakim as my primary. She was always rushed, never answered my questions and my general overall feeling was that she really didn't care about my well being or the well being of my baby. At my 39 week checkup she noted that my baby was small and sent me for an utrasound - the hospital agreed but sent me home. Dr Hakim called me the next morning and told me to go back to the hospital as I was going to be induced. It was either Baboff or Banooni who delivered my daughter (I think it was Banooni). He arrived at 1am and stated that I would ned a c-section and when my husband asked why Banooni responded "Are you a doctor?".

I beleive the c-section was necessary as my daughter was in distress, my placenta was shot and she was not receiving nutrients (born at 39 weeks, 5lbs 10oz and 20inches long - very scrawny!). My issues were with the prenatal care I received, given that I was in a high risk group, I was rushed out of the office with only the very basic care and the attitude of the delivery doctor was inexcusable (and he left the practice a few weeks later to perform some sort of cosmetic surgery - I guess he came back).

I would never go there again and would definitely not recomend Hakim or Banooni to anyone.

good luck

I just met Dr. Ziff for the first time today for non-pregnancy issues. He spent about an hour with me, which caused his whole staff to stay late on a Friday afternoon! He didn't care, was really patient, answered all of my questions, was very gentle during the exam, seemed to get along with well with his staff... I actually thought to myself "wow, if I wasn't done giving birth, I would actually like this guy during a delivery too!" (some of the testing he did was a bit uncomfortable too). Anyway, I am very picky with docs and I would definitely recommend him. He was also very easy to speak with too...
His office in Novi was very easy just 12 or 13 Mile and on Haggerty Rd.
Hope this helps!

I really love my practice, I see Dr. Hutton, but I have a lot of friends that see Dr. Brickman. I also like the women in this office, if you are more comfortable with a woman doctor. HTH

I used to live in that area, and attended an OB/GYN and midwife practice with a Dr. Paul Hakim. If this is the same Dr. Hakim in the practice you mentioned, I would highly recommend him! I did not see him often, because I saw a midwife in the same practice. But when I did need to meet with him - he attempted an external version to turn my breech baby - he was amazing -- great communication, very calm -- both my husband and I were very impressed.

Good luck!

I have been seeing Dr. Greenstein fir over 2 1/2 years. She delivered my second son. (I originally had a different dr but towards the end of my pregnancy, my dr broke her hand & so did some research, met w/Greestein & have been w/her ever since) She just moved to the practice you are speaking of. My sister in law saw Eisenberg before she moved out of state & said she loved that practice.
Long story short, I am very happy w/Greenstein. She takes time w/you, does not force you into anything & is caring.

Best of luck with your decision!
