Hi Mama's,

Well I am doing a Fancy Nancy Party and I am trying to find the Fancy Nancy pull string pinata locally instead of ordering it.. My daughter wants a pinata but we do not have a big tree to hang it on so this would be perfect. Let me know if you have seen it. Also if you have any Fancy Nancy ideas I am more than willing to listen. I purchased wands, sunglasses, and lip balm rings right after V-day for 25 cents each so I was super excited. I also made booklets from the PDF they had online to give each little girl to take home.. I haven't planned a menu or activites yet.. I would like to do a inexpensive back drop to take pictures of the girls but not sure on what to do..

Thanks In Advance and Have a Great Day!

So What Happened?

Well my daughter had her party on Saturday and went very well. I actually found a lady in Hurst that makes specialty pinatas. The name of the business is called La Pinata. The one on the internet I found was very cute but the one I had made was very detailed and made very well. I got so many compliments on it. We ended up have pink lemonade, cheese pizza, a veggie tray with ranch and I made nachos for the adults and the kids also had fancy cookies(danish wedding cookies with the powdered sugar). For an addded touch I had picked up some pink white and red M & M's after V-Day tht went perfect for her Fancy table. They drank from fancy glasses and I put the lemonade in a punch bowl and the bottom of the bowl was dcorated by a hot pink Boa that was was just perfect for a fancy table. We decorated frames, matched fancy French words with the english word, and I also had a 12 page sovenir booklet for each child with lots of activities. Everyone went home with candy, a wand, a candy necklace and bracelet, sunglasses and their sovenir booklet and their decorated Fancy Nancy frame. We watched a movie at the very end and we were all exhausted but had a great time..

The Learning Express in Southlake recently had a Fancy Nancy Party. You can probably contact them to see if they carry the pinata and if they have any other ideas for your party. The owners are very nice and don't always try to "sell." Good Luck.

Hi, C....

For the background, I'd try something like a sheet hanging "fancily" (ruffled and tossed) from the wall with boas on the top like a valance...or, if the weather's nice, outside in a lighted spot (not too sunny or you'll have squinty eyes) where there are flowers or plants with the girls all dressed up. :)

My friend just had a "Fancy Nancy" party for her daughter and it was a lot of fun. They started off by reading part of a Fancy Nancy book for those who didn't know about her. They then made crowns and sunglasses fancy (stickers on white crowns from the teacher store and put pipe cleaners on sunglasses). They then read a little more about Nancy and her family going out and then walked to the tables with their pinkies up like Fancy Nancy. They got to make PB&J sandwiches with umbrella toothpicks in them to make them fancy and then danced a little. They then made "Parfaits" (ice cream with lots of kinds of sprinkles, cherries, strawberries, coolwhip...). Then they watched as she opened gifts. What a fun party - boys and girls all had a great time dressing up for this "Fancy" party!!
