Hey Mamas!
My family is in serious need of a vacation, but we don't have the type of money necessary to go to somewhere like Orlando or any place super expensive.

Any ideas for a nice vacation in Michigan that's not too expensive?

What can I do next?

Great Wolfe Lodge, Michigan Adventure, Traverse City --we stayed at Sugar Beach hotel and were right across the street from a water park, mini golf etc and the local beach/park was right down the street.

Cedar Point in Ohio. Terrific adventure park and water park; hotels are more reasonably priced off site if you decide to stay overnight, though we have done the drive back and forth in a day, but it's hard to hit both parks in just one day.

Ludington! It has a great downtown (in the summer on Friday nights they make it "kids night.") a state park, and a beach with a playground. There is also a state park about a mile down from the downtown which is great. We have little ones and we are now making this our annual summer trip and the kids love it. Its also safe and not a bunch of craziness.

Good Luck!
