I have a large daycare website with a ton of Preschool Pages. www.stepbystepcc.com/themes.html ........... if you go to Page 2 (there's a link) you'll find a lot more ideas, including all the holiday/seasonal themes. Hope that helps.
I am looking for a craft idea for our family night at preschool. I need something that preschoolers (ages 3 - 5) can do along with their family. In the past we've done sock snowmen, gingerbread houses, flowerpot snowman. We were looking for something other than a snowman. I'm looking for something that will keep for a few years, possibly, so nothing that just made out of paper. typically, the parents will do the prep work ahead of time (painting or glueing major pieces together or sewing) and then that night the children and their families can decorate the item to take home. I appreciate any thoughts.

Have checked at Micheal's or Hobby Lobby? they have all sorts of craft ideas...and a lot of them are marked with the age apropriateness(SP). I remember when i was little making picture frame ornaments for christmas and handprint turkeys for thanksgiving and using different things from around the house to decorate...buttons, cotton balls, cereal, dried fruit, etc.
Hi J.,
You have them make snowglobes. All you do is take a babyfood jar, put a tiny ornament inside it, put some confetti glitter, and water...and whala!! Instant snowglobe. I have one sitting on my desk that my daughter made when she was in preschool, she's now 11.
here's my idea.... stuffed sock snakes. Just stuff some tube socks ahead of time and stitch the ends closed, then let the kids decorate with markers, pompoms, glue on eyes, or anything else.
You could make coasters or ornaments with stamping. See this link: http://stampwithstef.blogspot.com/2006/12/more-coaster-in...
