Fall Is Here!!!

I'm so excited! Pumpkin drinks are back at my favorite restaurants! (Starbucks has their Pumpkin Spice Latte back. Sonic has a pumpkin milkshake. I wonder if Jamaba Juice has their Pumpkin Smoothie back?!)

Sadly though, I have a cold/flu thing. Sinus issues and chest congestion. The cough is so bad I have no voice! I love the spring and the fall because of all the beautiful changes around me (and the fall especially because I love love love pumpkins!) But they don't love me. I always get sick as winter turns to spring and summer turns to fall.

So what are your favorite seasons and why? Is there anything you don't like about the seasons you love?

ETA: I'm with you Spider, this was a horrible summer! I'm just so thrilled to have a serious break in the heat! Now, it is supposed to get up to the upper 90s today, so we're not over it, but we're getting there!

What can I do next?

While I'm excited about Pumpkin Spice Latte... I hate fall... and winter... and even spring, just a little bit. I am 100% having a ridiculous love affair with summer. I need the heat and sunshine baby!!

I love Halloween and the birthdays that come and Thanksgiving and Christmas and ALL the year round holidays, but I still need summer. Fall and winter depress me; everything dies, there's no color, I hate wearing layers upon layers of clothes...

I want to run around in the sunshine in a bikini with my big floppy hat and sunglass with a cocktail in my hand, listening to music and the sounds of kids outside playing!!

I heart Spring. But any break from this heat is fantastic right now. I was in San Antonio recently and the dj said The Heat hasn't been this bad since the NBA Finals! :) Go Mavs. Go Rangers.

Oh I love the summer. Warm weather, swimming, camping, playing in the backyard, my daughter's brown little body with that cute white butt (she is half South American and her skin turns so dark in the summer no matter how much sunscreen I put on her but her butt under her swim bottoms stays lily white- so cute), cook outs, BBQ, picnics, I could go on and on listing the reasons I love summer. It seemed so abrupt this year! Friday we were in shorts and at the pool and this morning I had to send my kid to school in jeans and a hoodie. I miss my summer already! I do like cooking heartier, cold weather foods though and picking out pumpkins and raking the leaves to jump in them though so there's that. But summertime is my favorite by far! NOT looking forward to winter- I hate snow. Ugh. And less than 4 months until Christmas ladies! Can you believe that?!

I live for summer and Im counting the lonnnng days until it comes back. I miss my daughter being home. I want to be able to throw on shorts and flip flops. I love swimming. I love the warmth of the sun on my skin. I love the way concrete smells when it rains. I love to bbq with our friends. I love my kids being able to run around outside in their swimsuits all day. I love that my kids dont get sick in the summer.

Fall is just OK, because I know the horrible winter is right behind us. Where I live fall is usually pretty cold. We dont get a ton of nice weather, so it will be bitter cold very soon. Sad. :(

And my daughter is home from school today because she is already sick! Booooo!

I love the summer. Actually I already miss it. Only 8 more months. I love sleeping with little or no clothing on. Not worrying about being warm because I can just go outside when I am cold. I love playing outside, swimming, baseball, soccer and picnics at the park. O' how I love my summer!

Fall is my FAVORITE. I can hardly contain my excitement.

I, too, am thrilled about the Pumpkin Spice latte returning!

I love the smells, the fall candles, the brisk air, the leaves, the drinks, the colors, the halloween costumes, wearing boots and jeans and sweaters/hoodies, the chilly nights requiring a blanket, days that may or may not require a light jacket, football, and just the change generally.

While I hate how extreme our seasons are, I love that we change every few months. It allows us to appreciate and have something to look forward to!

I love Winter. I love the sparkle of ice on the trees and ground during ice storms, I love the white snow covering the countryside and making everything look like it's pure and clean, I love the smell of the air during a walk, everything about Winter is good.

I can always get warmer but cannot always get cooler and I hate the seasonal allergies that almost always turn into walking pneumonia each Fall but Halloween is my favorite time of the year for doing crafts. I absolutely fear storms and high winds, tornado's. I can't sleep if there is a storm coming, if there are clouds in the sky we don't do any activities...I just hate Spring.

I love fall. I hate that it leads to winter, but I love the cooler weather and the colors. Halloween is my favorite holiday and I think that fall decor is so pretty. Something about it just makes me feel warm and fuzzy.

The fall is my favorite, hands down. I know most people think of spring being synonomous with new beginnings, but for me it's always been the fall because that's when school starts so you're getting all new clothes, school supplies, etc. The colors are beautiful & anytime I can wear either shorts w/ a hoodie or jeans w/ a t-shirt I'm a happy girl!

I love fall! I hate the summer heat, and being from Missouri then moving to Florida has been especially awful. What's really funny is that I also have some allergy issues with it, but only discovered them after moving here. I never had problems in Missouri, but my husband is completely opposite. He hasn't had one allergy problem in Florida, but had bad ones back home! Weird huh?

Also LOVE Halloween!

Fall is my favorite! I love everything about it. I am going to Starbucks in a little while to get the pumpkin spice latte. My sinuses are not liking the weather change though, that's the only bad part about it.

I'm a few miles north of you. It's 60 degrees outside in the shade right now! I opened up the garage so I could get the cool air in the house before it gets too hot. I LOVE this weather!

I have the same cough/flu/chest congestion thing. Ugg. It's on the mend, though, so that makes me so glad.

Fall is by far my favorite. Winter is too cold here. Spring is just slightly better than summer. Fall is just great. I can handle a cold here and cough there. So long as I get to open the windows and enjoy the weather.

I LOVE fall too! mmm pumpkin. the dairy queen here just got in their pumpkin pie blizzards. I wait all year for them. luckily we have a pumpkin show in town every year so our dairy queen gets them earlier then most. I love fall because of halloween too! its so much fun. my son is two and this year I am going to let him decorate his own pumpkin, and help me put out our yard decor. I don't like winter. too cold. and I dont care for spring because of tornadoes. (even though I know we can get them at any time of year) I like summer normally. Just not this past summer because of the heat.

I would love to say it felt like fall her, but it's going to be 107 here, with 100+ degree weather for the next couple weeks. We kind of get robbed with the seasons here. It's either hot or warm, and it really doesn't ever get that cold. Now, that's another thing I miss about CA - the leaves turning, the air getting chilly. Sigh.

As far as here, I'd say I like winter the best. It's the coolest it ever gets here, without being freezing. There is so much outdoors that you can do.
