Maybe you could sprinkle glitter/fairy dust in her room then leave a jar of it and a note for her from the fairies. And if you have the stuff maybe some kind of 'gift' from them.
My daughter took a fairy art class today. I guess the teacher told them if they hang up their pictures that fairies will come visit. Now my daughter thinks fairies are going to show up tonight. I want to play along but want to leave her something to show the fairies came. What can I do, other than sprinkle glitter/fairy dust, all over her bedroom. I have quite a bit of craft supplies. I am not able to get to the store without children tonight. Any ideas???
Thanks!
PS I will be thanking this teacher personally :-)--lol
Thank you so much for all the WONDERFUL ideas!!! I went with Cheerful M's suggestion-that was the stuf I had in the house. I wish i could post pictures on here, because it turned out so cute, and my daughter is sooooo excited this morning.
I made a box (i had a red sparkly box from some old jewelry) I made a little wand out of a toothpick and star shaped paper. In the box, i wrote a note " a lucky penny for you" and put a super shiny penny in it.
Thanks again for all the ideas--you mommas are great!

Fairy footprints in the fairy dust?
Maybe leave behind a tiny wand or something?
I would make a little glitter trail from the window. You could make a very tiny wand out of a toothpick with a star on the end.
You could also make a very tiny present and put a quarter in it or something. How fun! I wish we had fairies in our house!
Def a note from the fairy.
What a wonderful Mom you are, sparking that imagination!
Have fun!
:)
How about doing the fairy dust and then leaving her a little paper flower?
My 2nd grade teacher used to have a "ghost" in the wall of our classroom. "Herbie" would leave us messages on a dry erase board, sometimes leave footprints, and move our furniture/books around.

Or maybe a fairy could leave a bunch of clues to a scavenger hunt around the house to find something silly. You could glitter up the heck out of the messages.
~~~~~
Or maybe make up some "fairy snacks." Tiny little cookies or something.
~~~~~
Better than cleaning up glitter from the house...sprinkle your snowy front yard with it...Or make a snow fairy or something in the snow for her to find in the morning.
~~~~~~
Also...sneak in some fairy messages into her backpack or lunch...again all glittered and prettied up.
~~~~~~
Maybe a "fairy garden" could be made with your daughter. You both could craft a little diorama using foil, glitter, plastic stones, silk flowers, ribbon...to invite the fairies...
Sprinkle fairy dust and on her dresser or someone she will see make it heavier and leave tiny "footprints".
a note from the fairy, in fairy language so you have to interpret it:
