Facial Moisturizer/cleanser Recommendations

Clinique has some great lotions, I can wear them without breaking out. Their Dramatically Different face lotion for very dry skin is around $20 a bottle and very good. The lotions with SPF run a bit higher but they really do last a long time. I'd go to a Clinique counter and let them match you up with the right lotion. They also have a 3-step skin care kit to buy that's good (cleanser,exfoliater, lotion)

DHC all the way, baby! expensive but very worth it.
i only use SPF if i'm going to be out all day. the sun is dangerous, i suppose, but i'm more askeered of chemicals.

I have one suggestion for you. It's called witch hazel. You can get it at any drug store. It's cheap. It's a wonderful astringent for any skin type because it's natural and not drying.
After washing my face, while it's still damp, I actually use vaseline to gently rub into my skin. I let it sit for a while and gently dab off any excess.

I'm 49. I never get pimples and my younger sister has more wrinkles than me. I use makeup with SPF to protect my skin and thankfully I'm not sensitive to it.

I have the simplest skin regimen on the planet and sometimes I think less is more. It's what works for me.

Cleanser: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wipes. I use them every night to take off my makeup. ($7)

Moisturizer: Aveeno Clear Complextion Daily Moisurizer ($8). Put it on after I clean my face in the evenings and again in the mornings.

The only other regimine I've found that works as well is the Antiaging line from Arbonne. But that stiff is seriously expensive.

Based on your budget and what you said I would suggest either the Cerave hydrating cleanser or Neutrogena Naturals cleanser. For a lotion I would suggest the Neutrogena Ultra Gentle Soothing Lotion SPF 15. It's non-comedogenic which means it won't make your skin break out. You need a little sunblock to prevent wrinkles. If your skin does have a reaction try Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture - Sensitive Skin. Good luck.

I have very dry skin and I break out very easy. I am a product junky! I was always on the search for something better for my skin since nothing ever worked that great for me. Well I have found a routine that works great for me and I have stopped looking, my skin looks nice and is in good condition as long as I stick to my routine. Here is what I use :

Cleanser for day and night - Nuetrogena Extra gentle face cleanser (cheap! And I love it)
Toner for day and night- Clinique mild clarifying lotion
Retinal lotion for day and night-  Roc Multi correction night treatment (u can use for day as long as u use an SPF over)
Daytime lotion- Clinique city block sheer oil free SPF 25 
Night time lotion - Clinique super rescue antioxidant night moisturizer for very dry skin

My favorite cleanser is Purity by Philosophy & I also use moisturizer by Philosophy & have not had issues w/breakouts except for when it's that time of month. HTH

I am like you. I find that using basically nothing works best. I use only warm water and a washcloth to wash my face. Then I use witch hazel on a cotton ball afterward. Witch hazel is the best! You can usually find it in the section where they sell hydrogen peroxide and alcohol for first aid. It will cost you about $4 for a bottle that lasts six months or so.

ETA: For lotion, I use Burt's Bees face cream with Royal Jelly. It is the most basic one they make. Everything else irritates my skin. It's roughly $12 a jar.

I love the products I use, and my skin looks great. Are you familiar with Melaleuca? Their products are manufactured without harmful chemicals. The Renew lotion passed Eucerin in two studies on all counts! The Sei Bella facial line is awesome too.

I agree that Clinique has great stuff and Mary Kay has great products that are wonderful for people with extra sensitive skin. My mom is highly sensitive to many cosmetic brands too and has had much success with MK. I currently use Beauticontrol and love it. I have combination skin but it doesn't break me out.
I have also used Avalon Organics from Whole Foods that worked great too. You might try getting a facial at a local salon or a school that has an esthetics program. Groupon and other discount sites like it usually offer great deals daily on facials. The esthetician could give you some good advice on what to use for your skin. Good luck!

I've used a moisturizer from PCA that I really liked and just started trying a new one by Revision. I purchase my products on lovelyskin.com. They always run a 20% off sale at holidays (just about ANY "holiday"), and they sell many, many brands. They may actually be continuing their Valentine sale through tonight...can't remember for sure. I can't wear anything at night. I break out everytime, so I just make sure I use a really good moisturizer during the day.

Cetaphil cleanser and/or Aveeno SPF moisturizer for sensitive skin

Some cold cream on your face over night can really help with dry skin.
Ponds is ok, but the scent can seem strong sometimes.
There are some fragrance free cold creams out there.

I'm an avid Clinque lover. I've used it since I was a teen. I'm 49 and pass for early 30's.

They have a good line with products geared toward your skin type. I currently use the Repairwear series. I may pay $35+ for a day, night, etc loption but they last a good 6 months.

I realized I am blessed with good genes but I am very faithful with my daily skin care routine, drink lots of water and use SPF daily.

Clinique is recommended by many dermatologists and is guaranteed your $$ back if you are not happy.

I've used Mary Kay for awhile, and I have eczema. It works great for me.

I break out easily as well.... however, the one cream that doesn't make me break out is Dr. Hauschka.... the Rose Cream (as oppose to DAY rose cream) that you don't want.. anyway, I use the Rose Cream in the morning and in the evening. It's rich but without being greasy on my skin.. Recently, my husband found it on the net directly from Germany for about 20ish dollars.. this as oppose to 42... SIGH.. yes, a bit pricey depending upon your budget..
See IF a place like Wholefoods has a sample for you to use... (little stores often don't) since they actually have to pay for the samples, many stores aren't willing to do that)

You might try the new Simple line of products for sensitive skin. I have really sensitive skin that either breaks out or gets rashes from most products, but have had good luck so far with Simple. Found it at Target.

oil of olay with no spf, I think they make it in natural and fragrance free. I like Mary Kay's natural line and cant remember the name at the moment. I always call it my MK stuff. hahah

oh I just looked its the Intense Moisturizer just called Mary Kay. I have problems with SPF and fragrance as well.
