Hi Ladies, so i have a question and to me it is a strange one but im hoping im not the only one out there with this problem.
FACIAL HAIR! It is growing around my chin, and it just really grosses me out. I keep thinking im not a man why do i have hair there. I have took a razor and shaved it off (its not long to where it is noticiable but it is to me) but ofcourse that leaves like stubble or something. I just cant stand this. Is there anyone who has the same problem or something similar? If so please help me with ideas on how to get rid of this embarrasing thing in my life!

What can I do next?

I have a moustache, and it's because my body produces too much testosterone, the male hormone. All women have a small amount in their system, but because of a condition called PCOS, I produce too much. I also have irregular, unpredictable periods, and I gain weight even if I eat healthy and exercise. Try googling Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and see what you come up with. I pluck the really long hairs on my upper lip instead of shaving, because it doesn't leave stubble. Or you could try waxing.

I think alot of women have this problem and we just don't know about it - not that that helps any. I tweeze as well - I have a few yucky black hairs on my chin - I can't believe how fast they grow! I even tried lasering them a few years ago and honestly I didn't notice any difference. Good luck!

Tweeze or use a lotion, but DON'T shave!! Shaving will only make it worse, and as you've experienced, leave stubble. A few dark hairs, just tweeze them, or use a cream like Nair. They make it for the lip & chin. I've used Nair for years on my upper lip and have never had a problem with it. I really hope this helps. Good luck!

Don't never shave it pull it out! So it doesn't come back, or wax it. If your taking any kind of hormones that will cause it, may want to concider a different plan.

Oh how I feel your pain with the unwanted facial hair. I have VERY NOTICEABLE black facial that grows on my chin as well as my neck. NEVER shave it. It will grow back thicker and darker. Pluck them or wax them. I would first go to the doctor about your concern. It could be medically treated. Just know that you are not alone.

First thing try not to shave it anymore.Even though Ive been told that the "If you shav it, it will grow back faster and thicker", is a old wives tale.I have actually proven that theory once on my legs.I know it sounds wierd but I let the hair on my legs grow out a little and for a few days just shaved a little portion of my leg and not only did that little spot come back faster but it grew back faster longer ans thicker than the rest.If anything wax it or find some cream that is a natural hair remover and one that stunts the growth.Having children, especially boys will cause hair growth where it wasnt before.I have 2 boys and after my first I started getting tiny...very unnoticable hairs like 1 or 2 pop up,I usually just tweeze them out before they get out the skin good.Mine arent as bad as you make yours seem..my husband says I need to stop nit picking b/c he can never see anything. But I can feel it when I feel under my chin so I get them as soon as I ca grab them lol.I did hear of some cream somewhere that was suppose to stop ur hair from growing as long as u applied the cream but I believe I seen it on a info commercial.Try looking in your local drugstore to see if you can find something to try.If the spot is small then just buy som pre cut wax strips and those should last you a while.I dont recommend nair simply b/c I used it once yrs ago on my legs and I have a scar from where it burned through my skin and It wasnt even on my skin for the required time.Gl though.Sorry I couldnt give you a name of a product.

I have had that problem for a year my OBgyn said it's normal for some women. Well it is embaressing , so any way
it's kinda pricy , but instead of noticing places on my chin and lip I forgot to pluck during the day. I am going to Ideal Image and having laser hair removal done. They
are the only place with garantee results. I am on my 2nd treatment and so far happy. It will take about a year to complete the whole process.

First off, how much hair? A few strands or a lot? If it's a few strands I would pluck with tweezers, but never shave. If it's a lot I would say check with your doctor because it could mean you have a hormone deficiency. Also, I know you said your taking care of your mother, whom has breast cancer, so it could be stress related.

Yes waxing is definitley a way to go. You evidently did the waxing yourself? If so you most likely made the wax way too hot and therefore you did burn your skin with it. You should go to a salon next time and let somebody do it for you. I'm a hairstylist so I do waxing all the time. Lib chin and brows. And yes there are many people out there that have facial hair. It is not uncommon for a woman to have facial hair. Hope all is well with your chin. Put some aloe on it that should help the burning.

The no-name cream mentioned in Vaniqa, "the first and only prescription cream clinically proven to reduce unwanted facial hair." I have not tried it, but I have seen the commercials. I don't know anything about it's safety, etc. You can look it up on-line, though, for more info, or ask your doctor. I too have awful facial hair (for 4 years now), and after having a boy and girl, it is soooo much worse. I feel for you, but can only tell you that all I do is pluck. I don't know what else to do. I've heard of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, which might help. Who knows. I feel your pain!

I had the same issue after giving birth. my chin hair grew really long, but at least stayed blond. I shaved it, waxed it, then I went to get a facial and the lady told me to just use an electric razor to trim it down, because the shaving like you would do to your legs can cause breakouts and the lack of hair makes them more noticeable plus stubble is too when getting close to the hubby! its something you may deal with from here on out. good luck!

I would definatley make an appointment with your Gynecologist. It could be something hormonal. I have Polycystic Ovarian Syndrom and that is one of the side affects... along with skin tags, acne, ovarian cysts, difficulty to conceive, diabetes, hypertenstion, sweating, and others that I can't think of right now. Anyway, my advice is to talk to your gynecologist, because they seem to be the most helpful in this type of situation.

I am so with you!!!I hate them.
If you shave the hair you are shaving every other little hair too and that will cause even more hair to grow back. WORD TO THE WISE FOR BEGINNING MINIMAL FACIAL HAIR... Unless you are really hairy you need to be selective and pull only those that really need it, thus my comment above. That goes for waxing also, it gets every hair and pulls it out too, thus more hairs to grow back. Women have fallen for this technique and I hate it because they let someone else do their thinking for them and actually pay them for the beard that they are now going to have. Think about the logic behind it. Money for them, beard for you. Now you HAVE to keep going back to get it removed. I have been plucking for years and so I have few enough to actually count the hairs that really need to be plucked. Now for those that have hirsutism (sp)(excess hair) you doctor can help you and also PCOS if that's the problem. YOUNG GIRLS STAY AWAY FROM WAXING YOUR FACE!! Some teenager will see peach fuzz on her face and have to have it waxed. Don't do it!
