So What Happened?

Thanks ladies! I didn't even know or think of those brands. Guess I'm going shopping tonight as he is becoming very self-concious about his face.

Not trying to address any particular problem yet. Trying to head it off. He had always sweated very easily. He always showers or at least washes his hands/face each night. He mentioned some bumps on his face, so I thought I would introduce a 'specific' cleanser now to the routine.

Cetaphil bar or lotion soap.

BEST thing my dermo ever told me. MUCH cheaper than all the other EXPENSIVE things I tried.

Hi M. - Are you trying to address a particular problem? Does he have early acne? We shop with a wellness company for all of our personal care product needs. They are very cost effective, healing, and soothing. Happy to provide more info. Good luck.

Velocity, by Mary Kay. Hands down the best, purest cleanser and moisturizer for young skin (male or female). They don't need all the extra fancy stuff you need as you get older, but it is essential to start all young people on good health care routines. Even oily skin needs moisturizer, too. BTW~ don't be afraid of MK ~ the velocity is in an orange and white container... not pink. ;) it's ok for boys... ;)

OH, and it's only $10 and $12. compare prices and get back to me. ;)

Let me know if you'd like a sample.

I use Purpose brand, it has no soap. I have dry skin and it doesn't dry it out. It isn't good for acne in case he has oily skin. Cetaphil would be good & gentle for that.

Soap and water. A mild soap such as Zest or Dial were recommended by a doctor.

My teen son has always used Nelson's Pure and Clear Facial Cleanser. It's paraben free too. You can get it at Whole Foods. Also trader Joe's has great cleansing pads that contain mostly Tea Tree Oil. They are good for the whole family.
I suggest these products as they don't have any harsh chemicals.
