I saw halos around lights especially at night and my vision decreased. I notice an improvement after the baby was born but I am still not at 20/20. (almost 4months after birth)
Can everybody share odd eye problems they had in their pregnancy

They say it is typical to have some eye changes during pregnancy, and then it goes away after birth. I have always had better than 20/20, so an ophthalmologist said when I had my eyes checked due to sudden, temporary headaches about 12 years ago. During my last trimester things got slightly blurry on occasion, and then after birth it continued. I figured it was from lack of sleep, you know the "newborn haze" :) because it felt like my eyes were just tired and unable to focus on their own. I could see fine, but would have to squint sometimes. Well, two and a half years later I have glasses (that I should be wearing!) and feel like my eyes are getting even worse, more blurry, so frustrating! Of course I'm now also at the age for it. I'm 41. The Optometrist said my eyes were just barely less than 20/20 and if it bothered me enough I should get glasses. I thought to myself, what? Bother me? Of course it bothers me, I can't see! Lol... Of course I'm exaggerating. But the slightest difference to me, is noticeable. So, you didn't say what kind of eye problems you were having. But as you can see(no pun intended) from the other posts, there can be many different eye issues with pregnancy. Obviously if it's uncomfortable for you, talk to your OB about it. Assuming you are the one having eye problems :)
Good Luck!!
my vision got worse.
I had perfect vision before getting pregnant.
Then after my first pregnancy, I got near sighted.
Then after my 2nd pregnancy, I now need glasses to see far and near.
I had problems with wearing contact lenses and dry eye syndrome. It continued while I was nursing and then cleared up. My optometrist at the time told me it was normal and things would eventually return to normal and they did not long after I stopped nursing.
Good luck.
I have 4 children. With my third, I had some "episodes" during the second half of the pregnancy. The best way to describe it is that it felt like my pupils were open too wide, and letting in too much light. I had them more often toward the end, and even the day I was in labor. Once I had the baby, no more, and I didn't have them at all with my last pregnancy. I do wear glasses/contacts, but I don't know if that had anything to do with it.

Hi S.,
It is actually common to have sight problems during your pregnancy.
Many women will have to wear glasses during their pregnancy and then not after the child is born. I had an issue with blurred vision when I was pregnant, but my eyes are fine now.
You know how when you're in a dark room and your eyes are closed if someone turns on the light you can tell the lights were suddenly turned on? Well, in both pregnancies, I would sometimes get that feeling even if no lights were turned on. For example, if I would get up in the middle of the night, and then would try to go back to sleep, I would close my eyes and suddenly feel like someone turned the lights on. I would open my eyes and the lights would of course still be off!!!! Very irritating!
