Hi S., when my son needed a pediatric opthamologist, my pediatrician recommended a few. Maybe try asking them?

I suggest calling Medical City Childrens or Childrens medical dallas and get a referal. I had an awesome one for my son and would refer you to her but she retired a few months ago.

I hope you get someone who lives in your area to respond. But if you don't, ask your regular pediatrician for a referral, or contact your closest Children's Hospital. HTH!

My daughter has been seen by various doctors at Pediatric Ophthalmology (http://www.popacas.com) since the age of 2 due to uveitis, but she primarily saw a doctor who retired recently (perhaps who K.P. referred to). That doctor suggested we see Dr. Beauchamp in the same practice. We saw her recently and I liked how thorough she was. My daughter responded well to her too.

Whenever requests for an ophthalmologist come up on my neighborhood moms' group's discussion list, various doctors practicing with Pediatric Ophthalmology are always mentioned the most often. It may be a bit of a drive from Forney though.

Good luck!
