my mom used the potty patch for her little yappy dog but the problem is dogs are color blind so any "patch" looks like thier potty patch - so her dog pees all over everybody's rugs
I hope you all don't mind a question related to my dog. I am moving from a house to an apartment and am considering trying a Potty Patch on my patio. My dog is 4 1/2 and is use to going on the grass and wondered if any of you have tried this product on dogs use to going on grass and what your experiences were. Thank you!

My mother has four dogs: a chihuahua, two chorkies and a big black lab. She ordered the Potty Patch and none of them were interested in using it. The baby chorkie just wanted to play on it. None of the other dogs showed any interest. She took it back.
If your dog is medium or small, he may be trained on a doggie pad. Actually, I used the bigger, better, cheaper ones which were for incontinent adult bed protectors. In the beginning, I bought and used those drops that you put on there to attract the dog to go there. I would also give treats when he used it. But I used them in the house (bad weather days, I was gone for a day and a half and left out food/water, etc. This dog was female. Don't know if a male dog would easily go that way. He might need one of those scented little fire hydrants for dogs too. But outside -- well, it wouldn't stay down.
My sister-in-law and brother have one. Their dog didn't know what to think of it at first but finally used it after they had it for about a month. Now he uses it when they can't get him out to walk. He's a little dog around 15lbs.
