I am soooo tired today. I could not call into work, and I am sitting here with my head literally bouncing, yawning like crazy! I need to wake up!

I have a large glass of tea beside me but its not helping. Any idea's for a quick at work wake up call? I cannot really get moving as I have a desk job! uhg!

What can I do next?

Eating an apple. I heard that is better to "wake up" with than a cup of coffee. But I am right there with you.. Both of my kiddos were up a lot last night. Just want to put my head down and rest.

Thoughts of unemployment don't wake you up? Boy, they sure make me perky and bushy tailed!

Quick walk around the building (outside) during your lunch always works for me. In fact, it's on the agenda for today too!

Do cross body motions. Like crossing your arms in front of you then swinging them to the back then back across the front. Do as many cross body motions as you can think of. Feet, legs, arms, hands, etc...this engages both sides of your brain and helps those wires to wake up and communicate.

Getting up and even just standing will help your brain to send out the chemicals to wake you up too.

been there done that. As others have mentioned, take a walk around the building, outside or down the block. Eat some fruit. Go to your car and take a quick power nap.

I have found when Caffeine doesn't work and I do more staring than working, I will just be no good all day. We all have days like that. Tomorrow will be better.

When I worked in an office the stairs were pretty close to my desk. If I started feeling sleepy or just need a mind break for a few minutes I would take the stairs from the first to the fifth floor (that's has high as they went) and down again. I was sucking in oxygen and re-energized when I go back to my desk.
