L.,
My now 2 year old has had eczema since he was 3 months old. You need to keep him moisturized and use cotton fabrics for clothes and sheets (polyester and others keep moisture in and irritate eczema). As for the pool, chlorine can do one of two things: make the eczema better (dries it up) or make it worse (creating more dry skin). Last year, my son had very little reaction to the pool; this year, however, we are experiencing really dry skin EVERYWHERE!! I am not going to prevent or refuse my son time in the pool, he loves it! I will try keeping his skin moisturized before we enter the pool (with creamed sun screan- no spray); during (more sunscrean) and after- quick rinse off and lotion. I have been using Arbonne Baby products on my son for two years, and have been effective at keeping the eczema under control for small break outs (love, love love the baby oil!!). We only use Arbonne sunscrean. I also use Kiels Centellena (SP?) serum for extra moisture.
I hope that helps,
If you'd like to try Arbonne products, please send me a private message!
