how are all the mamapedia east coasters doing after all of this craziness?? im amazed at how lucky we are.. most of our town is like a war zone, trees & powerlines down everywhere.. but somehow our little culdesac had basically no damage, except for a bunch of shingles flying off one neighbors roof and smaller tree branches scattered around, we even have power when almost the entire town does not.(we lost power at like 11 last night but it came back on sometime this morning before 5am) it boggles my mind to look at the pictures ive been seeing from south jersey.. basically the entire jersey shore was under water, its terrible. Huge chunks of boardwalk are gone.. one of the rollercoasters on one of the seaside piers is actually in the ocean. It makes me wonder whats left of our familys old shore house that was one the beach in lavalette =( ..My fiances aunt posted a picture yesterday and their entire street was flooded and it was only 6pm at that point.. its just unreal
-- what is it like for everyone else?

The winds were pretty wild here. We lost a pine tree. The storm uprooted it so now my hubby has some work to do. We are very thankful to have our power back on. It was off for nine plus hours so I was worried all of my frozen b. milk would be ruined. That's a lot of work to just throw it away. But we are safe and thankful. My heart and prayers are with those in NJ and NY and anyone else in this storms path.

I have a friend in MD and she is fine her power came back on around midnight. Her brother's house right on the Cheaspeak Bay has only one tree down.
So they are safe. I too am concerned about the people in NY and NJ.

We were very lucky.
We've got some sun shining and things are starting to dry out.
Schools started with a 2 hr delay this morning.

No damage to my house, but others in the neighborhood are not so lucky. No power = no heat so we have taken refuge at the in-laws up state NY where nothing really happened. Can't get into the city for work so am using their internet as well. They are saying the power might be back Monday.

Be well fellow east coasters - I am very thankful for all of the outreach and concern.
