Ever Wonder If Your Child's Been Taken over by a Brownie?

Only a Girl Scout mom will get the brownie part. :)

My daughter (7) went through the entire house last night (playroom, her room, my room, livingroom, and yes ever brothers room) and picked up, even making the beds! You see Thursday nights is clean up night. We get everything picked up and put away and Friday mornings someone comes to clean. My kids DREAD Thursday night. Complaining and whining, like I am asking them to cut off a leg...

When I asked her why she did it, she just smiled and said, "that way we don't have to do it tomorrow." What a Sweetheart!!! I couldn't believe it was the same child. :) I can say without a doubt there will be a request to go to the park after work this evening because afterall the housework is done and you know what? I will glady and gratefully say YES!

Anyone else enjoy with pride and gratefullness those little moments when your child goes above and beyond to help out? I would love to hear some stories!

What can I do next?

I just posted this:

I just need to gloat! She has been having a lot of trouble keeping her hands to herself in school the last two weeks. Yesterday I got a call from her dad to tell me what a bad day she had. So I told Kailey to make me proud and be REALLY good at school from now on! So she called me tonight after school and had a great day...the first one in a long time. And the reason for the good behavior?? She said to me "I tried REALLY hard to be good in school today because I wanted you to be proud of me!" So precious...I love that little bundle of love!!!!! Makes being a parent so worth it!!!!

Girls Rock!

I have 2 boys (8 & 6) and 1 girl (4) and this one time the boys had the great idea to dump out their dirty laundry clothes and use the baskets to play in. So the dirty clothes are now on their bedroom floors. When they had finished playing with the laundry baskets I told them all it was time to clean up the mess they made. The boys (who share a room BTW) go into their room and immediately start rolling around on the floor complaining about how 'hard it is' and how it is gonna 'take forever' to clean up the clothes, mind you there is 2 of them to share the work load. Lil' Sis takes her basket straight into her room, bends down and in one fail swoop picks up all the clothes (even bending back down and picking up the sock that she dropped) and drops all the clothes in the basket. Easy as pie. She then proceeds to look up at me and says in her cute lil' girl voice "There Mom, I go help Brudders now' and walks in and helps them with theirs!

I say it again...Girls Rock!

We have boys - closest I've seen is when they take over a pan of brownies (leaving nothing but chocolate crumbs in their wake.) :o)

Ok, that is just awesome!

My 5 year old girl will surprise me sometimes, coming downstairs to drag me to the play room, to show me how clean it is. Its the best!
